    Engineer Pass: Colorado

Thanks, yeah, I probably would wait and see what the weather was like. It can be wet that time of year and really cloudy. I would only go if the weather was clear. We are going towards the end of the month. It snowed last year when I was there, above 7,000' it stuck to the ground. I would be...

    Engineer Pass: Colorado

Nice report! I am considering doing the portion from Animas Forks to Engineer Pass in Spetember. I ran the part from Ouray to Animas Forks when I had my JKU. The Animas Forks to Engineer Pass does not look like clearance would be a huge issue. Do you see any issues running that in my WK2 stock...

    Flexible vs rigid panels

I have two, 100w flexible I use as portable and they are 3 years old with plenty of life left. I think it just depends on how much you want to lose in order to gain the lightweight and ease of carrying. The suitcase models are common with RVers. Goal Zero has some reasonably priced models but...

    Flexible vs rigid panels

I have used both. The rigid performs better but I prefer the flexible for ease of lifting and removing, and because they will not become a victim of road rash or hail. I also like the lower profile look. I just mounted two 50w flexible on a piece of poultry flooring Nd by OEM crossbars. Sent...

Goal Zero ~ Yetti 400 vs ARB 50qt fridge

Very helpful, thanks. I was unable to get the compressor to kick on on DC and hopefully this adapter will resolve the issue. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Halley - '17 WK2 Trailhawk Overland Build

Thanks. This whole system is still new to me and the jury is still out. I think I will disable it while towing, but might try it for a bit around Pittsburgh. I need to pop open the battery compartment and take a look. Thanks for the kind words and for the very thorough write-ups you do. They...

    Halley - '17 WK2 Trailhawk Overland Build

Thanks! The Mopar video that explain the Automatic Start and Stop technology actually states that the battery is a deep cycle, which I am actually more familiar with from my travel trailer and the build sheet listed it as a 650 amp battery, thus my confusion over the battery. The four...

    Halley - '17 WK2 Trailhawk Overland Build

Nice build! I have a couple of questions, if you mind. Furst question is about your rear cargo deck. How did you secure the deck, itself, to the cargo area? I have an ARB. On my Overland I used child seat anchors and the 2 rear tie down points but am looking for something a little neater for my...

    ARB Awning Room Input?

Are you mounting directly to factory rails? If so, did you need special minting hardware? Thanks!

    WK2 Overland ORA2 Skids

I love the "Stormtrooper" look of the white GC's. Alas, Tim, my JK had 60,000+ miles and I like to keep newer vehicles for reliability with all of the long roadtrips I take. I was sad, but I traded the JKU on Wed for a 2015 Overland 3.6 with ORA2. I made it out to Utah in February and ten back...

Sure-Fire Ways to Improve Your Roof Top Tent

The whole zipper type cover is why I abandoned the RTT. It took me way too long to get everything tucked and zipped on my ARB Pilbara tent. If someone sold a cover that would work like that, I might pick up another RTT.

    WK2 Overland ORA2 Skids

Thanks - I am assuming no rubbing? Any difference in performance? I tow and don't want to get bogged down. Thanks, will check those out, too.

    WK2 Overland ORA2 Skids

I am toying with trading the JK in for WK2 Overland with the ORA2 package because I do a lot of long distance road driving and I tow. I have tried, with no avail, to determine what kind of skid protection the package includes. I read a thread on the Jeep forums that left me thoroughly confused...

    Legs for Your Panels?

The legs arrived today. I was able to install them without drilling on the back of the GZ panels. They seem solid enough for my purposes. My plan is to secure them to the ground with stakes to help to keep the wind from blowing them over. I would imagine there would be a way to connect them to...

    Legs for Your Panels?

Well, I just ordered these folding legs. I believe they used to be sold at HF with their 15 and 45 watt panels. I will post the results. They are being shipped via Smartpost, so I don't expect them fir a while.
