    For sale: FWC 2012 Fleet

Location: Redlands, CA Well… I just picked up my new Fleet three weeks ago, got back to work, and I have an opportunity to go to Australia for 3 – 5 years. Good grief! I guess I could store the camper while I'm gone, but am open to selling it if I can do so without a huge loss...

FWC - last question before ordering

I'm looking at placing my order in the next few days and have a question about how much battery/solar I need. Here are my accessories that require energy: - the basic lights, no added options. with most of my camping spring- fall (long days), and wont use the lights for more than an hour per...

    "Skinny" Tires...

Agreed. What I like about this forum is that folks are generally focused on function, not looks. On some of the truck specific forums a typical post might be "how do these tires look" and they get lots of responses, with not one person asking about how they are going to be used. Even though...

New FWC layout - what do you think?

Has anyone changed their FWC order to this new configuration? You lose some storage and its an additional $3200 on the Fleet. I am holding my order until I can see it at the Long Beach show, but I'm still thinking the couch configuration is best for me, a primarily solo traveler. The couch...

    "Skinny" Tires...

I just bought a 2006 Tundra TRD 4x4 that has 265/70/16's in an off brand make. I am replacing with Michelin 245/75/16's. A little narrower and a little less aggressive will get me better mpg and be quieter on my 95% highway and 5% forest service/BLM roads.

    ?!?!?!TACOMA OWNERS TURN TO TUNDRAS?!?!?!

I found my 2006 Tundra 4x4 fully loaded TRD with 36k miles for $19k. Its perfect, don't know if I lucked out, but I grabbed it quick.

    ?!?!?!TACOMA OWNERS TURN TO TUNDRAS?!?!?!

I just sold a 2006 Tacoma 4x4, 4 cyl, manual. I was the original owner and planned to keep it many years. I decided to get a FWC camper which at 1000 lbs, was going to be just too much for this truck. So I started looking for a Tacoma with a V6. I came across a 2006 Tundra 4x4 with 36k miles...

    FWC stereo option question

ah ok, I was confused about your statement using it at the beach and desert - so you mean in your truck. So if I have a FWC camper with solar I can plug into one of the 12v sockets?

    FWC stereo option question

this looks interesting, but the first review says "The iKicker only works plugged in to the wall using its' "brick" in-line power supply"

    Tire size question...

I just bought a 2006 Tundra access cab 4x4. I see on the original window sticker that the standard size tires are P245/70R16. This truck has the TRD option, which came with P265/70R16. I need to replace the tires, and was thinking of going with P245/75R16. I want to go a little narrower for...

    FWC stereo option question

Anyone have this? I doubt that I would ever use this, I seldom listen to the radio in my truck. I like it quiet. But I just remembered that both of my sons are likely to borrow my truck/camper, and they will definitely want tunes at night. I'm sure all they would want is something to plug...

    Favorite interior fabric?

I'm fine tuning my FWC order and need to decide on fabric. Tan - I think this looks the best but is likely to get dirty given you need to stand on the couch to reach the bed. Deer Valley Apache - kind of cool, but would it look/feel so 70's in a few years? Of course it would, but maybe that's...

New FWC layout - what do you think?

rotti - its not on their web site, but they also have a dark blue print, which is what I'm going with. I think the tan looks best in terms of color, but given that you have to stand on the couch to get to the bed, and there are many ways for it to get dirty, I figure the dark blue is better

New FWC layout - what do you think?

I'm on the verge of ordering, and now I need to consider this new layout. I would put storage where the porta potty is, but other than that I kinda like it https://picasaweb.google.com/115013351620998838572/FleetSC?authkey=Gv1sRgCIjwlYuz9Y_SXg#

Tires - how aggressive do I need to go?

I checked on Tire Rack for the Original Equip installed by Toyota for both Tacoma and Tundra 4x4's. They are all All Season, no AT's. So, the first 4 years of owning my 4x4 Tacoma, without even being aware of my tires, I could do everything I wanted to do. Every tire has a limit - if I got...

Tire pressure and airbag pressure questions

I've got a 2006 Tundra 4x4 and will be installing E rated tires and Firestone airbags to support a FWC camper. I've never had this kind of tire, or airbags, and my first camper. So, I'm pretty clueless about what my tire and airbag pressure should be in these scenarios: No camper - Highway...

Tires - how aggressive do I need to go?

Mattm94 - sounds like you've used the M/S off-road? How'd that work? I'm mainly FS and BLM gravel roads, with only a few real 4x4 trails. I would like to go with M/S if I can get away with it.
