WOW! 2023 Sequoia has a Solid Rear Axle and Rear Locker

You're not crazy. I'm also excited about this as it returns to the "big 4Runner" feel of the first gen Sequoia. I'm very interested in this but also have hope that the next 4Runner will be just as exciting. It looks like they blended the more budget-friendly status of the Sequoia with the...

Travel Trailer with 2013 Lexus GX

I tow this Palomino SolAire 205SS with my 2008 4Runner V8 and it does well for what it is. It’s happiest at 55 mph but 65-70 is doable on the freeway. I would think the 6 speed and updated 4.6 in the GX460 would make the experience even better. This trailer weighs about 4200 lbs dry and is 24...

I picked up this mint low-mile one owner 2008 4Runner Limited V8 back in January and finally got my OME 2.5" lift installed as well as a set of BFG T/A KO2s size 275/65-18 last week.

Thinking of going from Tacoma to 4Runner

I test drove a 19 Tacoma TRDOR DCSB and a 19 4Runner TRDORP back to back last week. The 4Runner was much more comfortable, rode better, and was a lot more solid feeling on-road. The 2020 Tacoma may be better with its adjustable seat, but I couldn’t sit in the driver’s seat of the Tacoma with my...

Nissan’s “Tired Old Styled “Frontier Continues to Surprise Reviewers

I had a 2007 Crew Cab Nismo 4x4 and would average 18-20 most of the time. A lot of that was highway driving. I would expect a lot of city driving to be 15-16ish. I also had a 2010 Xterra Off Road and saw simile mileage out of it. I think the 4.0L in the Nissans is a superior engine to the 4.0L...

    Summitbeerowl's 93 Toyota Truck Build

I would have gone with BFGs if they were available in this size. Of course, they are now! But I’m a fan of these. 20k miles and still look new.

    Summitbeerowl's 93 Toyota Truck Build

I am a member on one of them, but I haven’t logged in to it in years. Your truck sounds a lot like mine. I have a 2” level up front and it sits just right with a little bit of rake remaining. I have 285/60-20 Toyo Open Country AT2s on it which really changes how it looks and feels.

    Summitbeerowl's 93 Toyota Truck Build

You are right. I have 33.5” tires on my leveled F150 and they look small at times. I love my F150, however and have not had any interest in the Tundras either. Did you get an EcoBoost truck? I have the 3.5L and it’s a rocket!

    Summitbeerowl's 93 Toyota Truck Build

You sold it!? I’ve been MIA, but this is heartbreaking! You definitely need another one. I just picked up a Nissan project after selling my 3rd gen 4Runner project in February, but plan to pick another Toyota up once I’ve moved on from this one.

I have pretty well confirmed that it was my truck. I'm glad to see it again! That wasn't me. I'm back down in the SW corner of the state now. I'm sure it was a good time!

The Frontier with the camper shell.. did it have the ARB on it when it was bought? I think it might be my old truck. I traded it in at Smith Chevrolet in Fort Smith. 2007 model. I've been wondering where it ended up. I hope it's my old one!

    1995 4Runner DD/Adventure "Killbox"

My mom had a 95 SR5 4x4 in that same color when I was a kid. We only had it til about 65k miles, so we never had to deal with the repairs and maintenance that you've done. I look forward to following your build. Nice work!

    Ford Ranger Debut

Have you used Sync 3 yet? It's not Microsoft based and is light years ahead of the old Sync/MyFord Touch system that my 2014 F150 had.

    2019 Tundra

Just bought a 2018 F150 SuperCrew 4x4 with the 3.5L EcoBoost and 10 speed auto. 20+ is absolutely possible and not too difficult to attain. I previously had a 2014 F150 SuperCrew 4x4 with the EcoBoost and 6 speed which would do 18-19 pretty easily. Yes, driving them like you stole them will...

    2019 Silverado 1500 gets a diesel

That’s actually the current truck interior. My 2016 Sierra looked just like that. New one is changed. Similar, but changed.

That looks awesome. "Modified stock" is my favorite look and you have that going on with your pickup. Purposeful, conservative, and tasteful. I just got my 4Runner put together and I tried to stick to this theory as much as I could.

Traded Tacoma for '16 ecoboost F-150. Heresy?!

I had a F150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 with the 3.5L EcoBoost before my current GMC and your sentiments about it being a tow monster are correct. I have a Kubota M5700 4x4 with loader that weighs somewhere around 7,000 lbs wet. I pulled it on a 2,500 lb trailer and engine-wise it was fine. The...

Had to make a run up above the lake around lunch time today. Took the back way on my return trip and snapped a pick of my money pit. Here's my 2000 4Runner that I've been slowly improving.
