Fish! It's that time of the year again.

First trip up to the White Mountains this year. Our first trip out is generally the last weekend of March or the first weekend of April, and it's normally perfect. However, this year we had a very good winter, so there is tons of runoff. This particular creek is about twice it's normal size and...

Phoenix: Dependable shop for control arm bushings

Looking for a good shop to swap out my passenger side lower control arm bushings. The dealership wants 4 hours of labor ($385), which I think is rediculous. 4 Wheelers on Washington will do it for $200, but I can't get in for a week or two. I'm hoping to get it done this week. Any suggestions?

    Old jerry can tarnished inside

I've got an old jerry can that has been sitting in my shed for a long time. The inside is pretty tarnished and looks like the metal has been eaten away a little or even rusted a bit. Is it safe to put gas from this thing in my truck?

Lockable jerry can holders necessary in Mexico?

Anyone ever had jerry cans stolen out of the bed of their truck in Mexico? My current holders (lockable) are cheap and bent to crap. I'm thinking about getting the basic Blitz mounts which just use nylon straps, so they obviously aren't secure...

    Phoenix Area Mechanic

I have a friend who wants to have his FJ60 engine rebuilt and the tranny swapped for the 5 speed. Does any one know of a good mechanic in the Phoenix area that you would trust doing this to your truck? Preferably someone who specializes in Cruisers? He just wants to make sure its done properly...

    Replacing a flat tire

Ok, kind of an odd question. So I've been doing this whole offroad thing for about two years now, and I finally got my first flat that I don't think will be patchable. What do you guys do in that situation? Do you just buy one new tire? Let's say the other three tires are at about 45%. When...

El Camino Del Diablo - November?

Alright, I know many of you have run it several times over the last year or two, but I never have and I want to. :p I do a lot of exploring solo, but I don't think I want to push my luck on this one. Would any one be interested in running it with me some time in November?

    GPS: Need help deciding

Alright, so I think I've narrowed it down to three units. I basically want a color handheld with topo capabilites, SD card expandability, compass and altimeter, water resistant, and available suction cup swivel mount for my truck. I will also use it for basic city navigating from time to time as...
