Recommend a charcoal BBQ for travel

I just bought one of these and so far so good. I have to admit I only cooked some dogs on it but it worked well. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DM0QGVC/ref=sr_ph?ie=UTF8&qid=1440035770&sr=1&keywords=folding+grill

    1977 Apache Hard Sided Popup

I have been using a 76 Apache Mesa popup as a light duty expo trailer for about three years. If you flip the axle and add some full size trailer tires they work well offroad. P8010050 by mblaux, on Flickr This is the most active forum for the campers. They will have lots of rebuild info...

    Softopper Yes or no?

I have had one on my Blazer for about two years and it has been great. It lives on my truck full time and I have had no issues with leaks and it's holding up well. I do broom of the snow if we get more than six inches because the material will get saturated as the snow melts.

Why does "size matter" in N.America???

I can't help but laugh that the OP doesn't understand the need for a fullsize but in his avatar it looks like the roof rack has 500lbs of crap on it.

83 K5 Blazer Expedition rig build up, Finally!

The back isn't much of a problem. I think 35" tires will clear with stock springs that don't have a sag problem.

83 K5 Blazer Expedition rig build up, Finally!

37" tires with 4" of lift still requires the liberal application of a sawsall to clear. That K5 looks like a great starting point.

    Need rugged backpack

+1 for every brand of pack that has been mentioned here. The most important thing is to check each one out and see which gives you the best fit. All of those packs will offer each person a little different fit and if you ask ten people you will get ten different answers about which is best.

Four Wheel Pop Up K5 Question.

On the older full top blazers they just cut the fiberglass roof to match the newer body style. I have installed a Hallmark from a newer blazer onto a 73-75 full roof K5 with no real problems. That being said I would still take some measurements because you never know.

Mr Heater Buddy Heaters on Sale at Lowes

It's the big buddy with two canisters. It came from a Cabelas special in Utah. It lights fine but will only run for about 10 minutes before the low oxygen shutoff kicks in. I have tried it at ~3000' and it worked fine.

Mr Heater Buddy Heaters on Sale at Lowes

I don't know how you guys are able to get your heaters to run at altitude. My big buddy will not run at 6500' in my garage with the door open.

    Trailer Flavored Kool Aid

I think they were on 2nd or 4th. I don't know for sure if they are still in business but they have been around for a long time.

    Trailer Flavored Kool Aid

Mcbride's would probably make you a set of replacements or put a new main leaf on the broken pack.

    Tent trailer question

I converted an apache hard side to a light offroad camper. I don't know about the canvas trailers but the hard sides have the best frames I have seen on a light trailer.
