That’s part of the reason for running it under the hood. The ones I saw would grab the winch cable and run it over the top of the car and hook to the rear tow hitch. Then they would short the winch to crush the car. :(

Definitely the best winch ever made. Mine has literally taken me all around the world. Glad to see you scrapped the 4 solenoid pack and swapped for an industrial contactor. Much more reliable. I run mine inside engine bay.

Molle Platform Solutions will custom make it in any size you need if their version suits your need. I had them make one for my Hummer tailgate.

That TJ went all around the world competing in adventure/survival challenges. Rainforest Challenge in Malaysia Croatia Trophy in Croatia Outback Challenge in Australia Many more countries and competitions but I can’t find those pics. A lot was pre digital cameras era.

My WJ V8 has 250,000+ on the odometer. 180,000 were done towing this 3 ton trailer all over Europe to competitions. If it could handle all that, you will be more than fine. The WJ is ones of the best made Jeeps out there.

The old organizers of the local selections keep organizing them. There was just a big one in the Canary Islands. Next year there’s a big reunion in either Portugal or Russia. Location is still pending.

Anyone know if there’s a way to save all my waypoints from the factory 2016 JKU GPS? They’re about to swap out my head unit under warranty and would hate to loose all the saved waypoints I have. I did a search and found nothing but hack attempts to import external maps. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem and I swapped out to the Teraflex Outback Overland springs. No more ridding the bump stops.

Awesome write up. I was contemplating the B&M shifter.

The A-pillar is probably the best location for many reasons, but I opted to put it elsewhere because I knew I was going to install the Offroad Evolution sport cage. It replaces the plastics with molded chromoly that covers up the location.

I don't recall but it's easy to do because it actually comes with a sticker you apply in the area, then score it with an exacto knife.

I put mine between the shifter and the small tray. Sorry for the quality of the pic.
