so, i used to swear by Mountain Kahiki's but their repeatability was horrible (i wore anything from a 32-40 inch waist and i didn't vary in size)... now i'm stuck on Kuhl. they are built well and wear well. i find the very comfortable and long lasting.

what if anything did you do with the factory seats? I'm assuming they were black....

what am i missing here... I have a 97 and it shows a small oil filter for my model, so I just buy the ones for 91-94. they are huge. is the "big" filter bigger than that?

you gotta re-look at what he said.... his MECHANICS said not to buy because of RELIABILITY. ie... his mechanics would be out of work if he got either of these fine vehicles. I bet they are pushing for a Land Rover! get a FZJ80 and don't look back (except waiving to your lost mechanics)

I've NEVER seen a stock original 80 wheel in chrome. rarely I've seen a 100 in chrome. 60 in chrome all day long....never an 80 series.

if it has the maint records, you should easily be able to double that mileage. in excellent condition (yes, I know it's a 1997) 8000-10000, especially if it is a 40th Anniversary or Collectors Edition. and it will be WAAAA....AAAAY more reliable than your LR (generally speaking)

if it's really nice with maint history, he probably isn't to far off. Then again, I'd let mine go for a smidgen over that and it's not exactly stock...
