Front Runner Wind Cheetah Roof Rack for Defender Style Land Rover LWB

Man, that's a nice looking rack... I'm interested. Can you get me a measurement how tall the side supports are? I'd like to run this on a land cruiser troopy.

    CA18_Sean's HJ75 Troopy - Build & Restore Thread

Good to know. Thanks for the input guys. Lots to think about! Eventually we would like to travel west and maybe even south of the border. But now I'm just getting ahead of myself... Got the front bumper back from paint today. Also got some new TJM stickers for it. I love the black bumper look...

I probably should have done that before I rebuilt the front and rear axles huh... lol. Either way I'll probably just throw something in the back to start with and see how it goes.

Yes, with manual hubs and selectable 4wd I could do something like that. Luckily it isn't full time 4wd like an 80 series.

Both very good points. Mine is an 89 so same diff front and rear. I did like the Detroit locker in my 4Runner. Almost couldn't tell it was there unless you needed the extra traction. But at $250 per diff and I don't need set up the R&P it's hard to say no. Are Lokka diffs the same as Aussie...

Thank you! I painted that one with a roller in the garage. Definitely a budget build... I will be having the paint shop that paints all my work equipment do the troopy.

Here's how she currently sits. Actually not quite, I have pulled all the windows to do rust repair before heading to paint. I did have the bumpers sand blasted and painted, should be able to pick them up tomorrow. Plenty of other projects have been keeping me busy lately though, so who knows...

Went ahead and added a winch to the TJM bumper while I was making stuff. Just added a tray to the center to hold it. The bumper is aluminum but the brackets that attach to the frame are steel, so again this was pretty simple to do. IMG_9530 by CA18 Sean, on Flickr IMG_0109 by CA18 Sean, on...

I decided I can't have a tough TJM front bumper and a beat up stock bumper. So again, sketched it up and made it! IMG_9467 by CA18 Sean, on Flickr Decided to use the existing trailer hitch as my base to attach to the frame. Turned out great. IMG_9469 by CA18 Sean, on Flickr IMG_9482 by CA18...

Rust is terrible... been knocking it out slowly but surely. I haven't been updating this thread as much as I should, so here's some updates! Sold my 4Runner. The new owner is in Iowa but he's already taken it to Colorado. Seems to be loving it, so that makes me happy :) IMG_9202 by CA18 Sean...
