To pintle or not to pintle?

    1) Experience (I have a Bantam trailer) 2) As I understand it, there was concern that the lug nuts could spin off from wheel rotation forces if they got loose. This would not happen on the other side where rotational forces would tend to tighten the nuts.

To pintle or not to pintle?

FYI- some of the old WWII trailers had reverse threaded lug nuts on the driver's side. The studs have an "L" stamped on the end which you may be able to see. Just a thought.

Scepter water can to hose quick connect

Cool and great of you to share the file! A connector to adapt the Scepter threads to standard hose threads would be a useful thing also. Would open up a lot of useful features for the Scepter can. Maybe you could make one of those and share the file too? :)

    T3-C rear mount spare

I made a simple dolly to put under the landing leg- makes it easy to move around. See a photo here: https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/bantam-t3-c-trailer-serial-24011.205655/

Rotating pintle hook for receiver hitch

From the label it looks like a Wallace Forge B-8 Swivel Pintle that has been mounted in a receiver tube somehow. I would be interested in seeing how it is mounted in the tube. This version of the B-8 doesn't seem to be available in the catalog any longer...

    Bantam T3-C trailer serial #24011

Thanks for your comment. I used a catalyzed urethane- Olive Drab #8 (OD 329) from Midwest Military on the trailer. I had Sherwin Williams match it for the lid. https://store.midwestmilitary.com/product-p/tm9-10.htm Thanks!

    Help Identifying Vintage Jeep Trailer

Saw this on the CJ2A page today. Looks really similar and listed as a Converto: https://newjersey.craigslist.org/tro/d/oxford-1940s-converto-trailer/6814192506.html

    Help Identifying Vintage Jeep Trailer

Glad you found some information at least. Seems the Convertos are few and far between- increases the cool factor to me. Researching these old trailers is interesting. I have a Bantam T3-C that I fixed up- fun project.

    Help Identifying Vintage Jeep Trailer

Cool trailer. You might try posting it on the <CJ2Apage.com> forum in the trailer section. Also the <G503.com> forum trailer section. There are people on those that know a lot about these old trailers.

Need coupler ideas. Bought an m-100 with the lunette cut off.

If you want to use the pintle hitch, just look for a replacement lunette. They are available if pricey. But would probably be less than a new coupler system, especially if you have to hire someone to do it. If you are a DIY welder/metal worker, then you have more options. I have also heard of...

Need coupler ideas. Bought an m-100 with the lunette cut off.

Here's an idea. This is on a Bantam trailer but a similar situation. You could just remove the lunette remainder and leave the casting. Allows a variety of couplers and tongue extensions. You could also use a different ball mount on your jeep to line up the coupler. I just fixed up an old Bantam...

Footwell water tank - anyone using one?

Since you posted a pic from our blog, I thought I would report our experience. We use the tank on longer trips and like it. Keeps the weight low as you say. We have not noticed any water sloshing sound- it is under a platform in our back seat area so that might muffle the sound if there is any...
