Brought my X to Overland Expo East...

A great time - met some good folks, learned quite a lot about many aspects of overlanding, talked to just about every vendor, tried out my new KO2's in deep mud (awesome performance), slept comfortably in my truck, and saw some amazing rigs. I will be in attendance at next years event for sure.

    Only one Nissan at Sema?

The only pic I've seen of a SUV/truck Nissan from SEMA is the diesel Frontier (pretty cool), have I missed them perhaps?

    I've come full circle...

So, I've been around here since 2007, that year I bought an Xterra Off Road (hence my name). Loved it, went to OEX off-road skills training in CT, met some good folks. But then I thought I needed a Jeep Unlimited Rubicon, drove it for a while and enjoyed it on the dirt but disliked the drive as...

Sorry guys but I love long drives too much...

Let me first begin by saying that I love to take long roadtrips and seeing the country. Always have and I hope I always will be able to do so. That said, I traded in my 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon for a 42 mpg Volkswagen Golf TDI. I've never owned a diesel before and I'm really...

    Stubby Bumper

I would like to replace the stock front bumper on my '09 Rubicon with a stubby bumper but do not want to change the stock suspension in any way to include spacers, my concern is the extra weight would cause some droop. Is there a stubby bumper available that would allow me to have some...

    Keyless Entry Pad

I thought that I would pass along to my fellow Nissan'ers a positive experience I have had with a Genuine Nissan Factory Part that is available for purchase. A little while ago I was concerned about losing my keys and being locked out of my vehicle in the middle of nowhere. I investigated hiding...

    Storage of my Viair 400P

It always bothered me that my Viair 400P came in a soft sided bag that did not allow itself to be packed away in the back of my vehicle very well. So off to WallyMart I went and in the camping section I saw a collection of bright orange thick plastic "ammo cans" complete with a rubber top seal...

I found a perfect container for my Viair 400P

It always bothered me that my Viair 400P came in a soft sided bag that did not allow itself to be packed away in the back of my vehicle very well. Spent the first night ever sleeping in my Xterra...

(the winter temps went up over the weekend and we decided to go for a drive through the Adirondacks) and I came across a few items. 1. Curtains - the Xterra has quite a bit of glass, does anyone know of a manufacturer that has some sort of curtain or all around window coverup that I can use...

    255/85 vs. 285/75

I have a 07 Xterra Off Road which comes with stock 265/75 BFG's. I am looking to move up to a 33" vicinity tire and see that both of the sizes listed in the subject bar are possible. My question concerns advantages/disadvantages of these two sizes (I realize that the 255/85 is skinnier than...
