    Wildernest for older full size

Selling my Wildernest for full size pickup. It has served me many years, and many adventures, but it's time to downsize! Currently mounted on an 87 F350 4x4 (check out my old build thread for pics!) Had the canvas all replaced several years ago. Springs in good shape. Paint isn't pretty, and...

    Bricknose F-350/ Wildernest build

I'm flattered! I love 'Nests, wish they were still made! Every time I deploy mine, I get half the camping area coming to look and ask about it! Glad to hear others are working to restore these awesome designed units! Now, just get out there and put it to its intended use!!! And post pics!

    Bricknose F-350/ Wildernest build

If I remember, they gave me a cpl choices in color over the phone, but I told them I was looking for gray, so that's what we went with. I would imagine you could get color swatches to look at, they had fantastic customer service!

My springs are still good, but I'm sure its just a matter of time. Mind if I ask how much it cost to have yours made?

    Bricknose F-350/ Wildernest build

So far I have had no need for a rain fly. Haven't had it thru a monsoon, but had a pretty hard rain at one point for about an hour, the showers on and off, and had no water intrusion. Overall I have been really happy with the replacement! Now if I can just find a good sleeping mattress.......

    Wildernest door hinge needed!

I know its a long shot, but hopping someone has an old unrestoreable 'nest laying around. I'm looking for the rear door side hinge piece, or even a whole door. What's usually called a hurricane hinge. I'm building a new rear entry system, and don't want to permanently alter my original door...

Round Off-road lights... What to do?

I have one of the LED light bars I bought for my wifes SUV. Doesn't get used much, more for aesthetics, but it has been ok. Based on reviews I has seen, I pulled it apart and resealed the lens first due to several people saying theirs has started showing moisture inside the lens.

Round Off-road lights... What to do?

I have 4 of the Chinese knock-off HID's with the red ring, 2 spot, 2 flood. Have had them about 2 1/2 years, and have had no problems. They are insanely bright, and other than the red ring fading quickly, they still look good. Usually I'm a proponent of you get what you pay for, but these things...

    Trailer harness problems

Biggest problem I see would be the inability to hook up to a standard 7 blade connector. I just keep the plugs coated in die electric grease, never have a problem!

    JNelson4x4Taco(Tundra) Adventure Topper Build Thread

Very cool project you have there! As far as fabric, good old canvas is about as unbeatable as you can get in terms of durability and long term use. I have worked with Sunbrella, and it is nice, easy to work with, but not as heavy duty. When it comes to bonding aluminum, after getting much...

    Best epoxy/adhesive for aluminum

OK, so I decided to go the 5200 route....OMG, this stuff is crazy! Whatever it bonds stays bonded....forever! Slow to cure, but once it sets up, solid! Very impressed, thanks for the advise folks!

    New (to me) Samurai

Ya, just haven't seen too many decent trailers there. Mine is in excellent shape, plus with the HD axle, is a great starter platform. I'm just being lazy and not wanting to cut it up I guess!

    New (to me) Samurai

As we have talked about, keeping it light will be an important part of this build. Grasshopper cant tug a heavy brick around so good! Making it modular would also lend it self to the flexibility and usefulness. I have been watching yours, and am still planning on building mine out as an...
