    GM 6.2L V8 Issues?

My 2012 6.2 didn't have AFM. As far as I am aware, the 6.2 in the trucks, didn't get AFM until 2014 with the restyle. The only 6.2s prior to 2014 to have AFM were in the fullsize SUVs.

    GM 6.2L V8 Issues?

It doesn't. It's recommended, not required. Even says that under the fuel door. I had a 2020 Trail Boss with a 6.2. If you want the full 420hp you need to run 93, otherwise the computer will retard the timing and de-tune the engine to reduce or eliminate detonation (spark knock). But it can only...

    GM 6.2L V8 Issues?

Ford too now. Starting in 2021 F150s with the 5.0 have a version of cylinder deactivation. Though the Ford system will be a little different being they are a overhead cam engine.

Lets see some full size pictures...

This is my 2020 Trail Boss. I plan on making a few changes in the next year or so, but for now it works. Only "mods" so far are the A.R.E topper, 295/70r18 Cooper AT3 XLT's, Diode Dynamics yellow foglights and the Aries steps. There aren't many trails near me so I wanted something that was...

    235/85/16? Let's see them

It's not a 4x4 world expedition truck, but it gets me places and it has 235/85r16's. It's a 2wd c2500, one of the odd ball trucks GM made in the 90's, it's basically a 1500 with 6 bolt wheels. I lifted the front with a 4" spindle from Canuck Motorsports and the back with a 3" block. It's a fun...

Lets see your full size Chevy!!!

None, well one, the shocks supplied for the rear suck. But I've upgraded to Rancho shocks and the kit works great.

Lets see your full size Chevy!!!

Rough Country 3.5" kit. It's just enough lift for what I need it for in my area. And it clears the 285's nicely.

Lets see your full size Chevy!!!

That is a beautiful K5, makes me miss my old K25 But heres my 2012 Silverado, it does basic camping, canoeing, and kayaking, all we have around here. It's getting a best top soft top, a yakima rack, some aux lights, dual batteries, and an inverter this year.

I want your opinions on the Ecoboost.....

A buddy at work that has an 2011 ecoboost with 35,000km on it, he's had the intercoolers replaced three time, a valve job done, turbo replaced and it's gone back to the dealer for lack of power thursday. He's told them to keep it, he's trading it in on a used Dodge 2500 they have on the lot. His...

    S-10 v. Ranger

I've never had a problem with either of my old ZR2's they were very reliable and never let me down. Parts break, it doesn't matter what the make of vehicle it is, it's all in how you treat and maintain the vehicle.

    S-10 v. Ranger

Find a ZR2 S10 and be done with it. IMO, it was and still is the best factory offered Offroad package, for a pickup truck, ever to be put on the market.

Chevy 3500 5.7l diesel ambo... pull the trigger?

Is this the truck? http://cosprings.craigslist.org/ctd/3473063479.html If so, it is likely a 6.5 turbo diesel, nothing wrong with it. The dealer has it written as a 350 ohv gas engine, but the headline says 6.5 diesel, I'm guessing the salesman that wrote the ad doesn't know what he's talking...

Chevy 3500 5.7l diesel ambo... pull the trigger?

I'm a GM guy, and I gotta say, stay away from the 5.7 diesel. Horrible, horrible engine. It was a olds 350 gas engine converted to run diesel, for fuel economy. But it could barely motivate the vehicle it was in to move down the road let alone pull anything. But I'm almost positive they stopped...

Just when you didn't think a Chevy could get uglier....

I fail to see how this looks like a Ford! I see a little dodge in the tow hook area, but other then that it doesn't look like any other make on the market. The grille is very reminiscent of the 88-93 front ends. The square wheel wells work with the truck, they follow it's boxy theme. If it had...

    ZR2 Owners Thread

Honestly, I think the ZR2 is where GM got it right. I maintain that it was, and still is, the best factory offered off road truck, when it comes to bang for buck.

Heres my old ZR2 before I traded it in on my old Sierra. Miss this truck, been thinking about looking for another one, but people want too much of them around here.

Last US Ford Ranger rolls off the assembly line.

It'll never happen, government regulations demand Airbags, power brakes, power steering and Antilock brakes. That said I'd be happy if they'd do an as much as they can stripped down truck with a manual trans, I'd buy it. You can get a barebones work truck, but in GM's case you can't get a stick...
