Help with a mystery dash light

That light is the Bondage indicator. It means that your next experience in the bedroom is going to be interesting, and hurt a little. Did you push the handcuffs button on the overhead next to the SOS button?

    Post up your drawer/storage system

I have these things. Frankly, I think I ************** hate them - excuse my language. Meets EVERY need but one - the fold down plastic clasp handles are also the carrying handles. the VERY uncomfortable carrying handle. It is uncarryable without the lid on, as the handle exposes only a razor...

To do cargo drawers/pop out kitchen or not?

I have a cargo platform already, and I'm considering putting in a kitchen, solar battery setup, and a cargo drawer that all pop out. For those who have done drawers and such how were they liked compared to just loose cargo area? I have several CNC's on tap for this including metal milling...

    The Jack Wagon

I bought the G wagon after wheeling with Jeep guys. The guy I wheeled with did a great job - and he had to put a transfer case, two factory axles, and three aftermarket axles in his JK. I have wheeled the same trails, and all that broke was my face when it cracked into a smile.

    The Jack Wagon

Always good to see another G wagon out there tearing it up. I'm also glad mine is now beat to ******** - that way I don't have to cry like I would if my '14 G550 got murdered by the mother earth.

    Solar Generator Build

So - the report almost a year later. The good - Its portable. The Bad - I needed to use more flexible cabling from the solar panel interconnects to the Victron CC. I will have to rectify this issue either with a set of posts or some other. Also, the use of riv-nuts was inspired - but...

2007 grand Vitara good place to start for smaller rig?

I’m considering getting an 07 vitara for a smaller overlanding Light rig. I have a g wagen for the Big Stuff now but want something more practical. How do these work out practicality wise? Sorry for the odd caps. Damn iPhone.

So. Most mint Gen 1 LWB OR FJ100?

So I can get a cherry manual V6 SR with 180k right now or a great shape FJ100 with 298k on it as my next toy? I am quite familiar with Monteros as we built one of the only manual gen 2.5 3.5 L trucks in the US, and I’ve had 6 other gen 2s. That said, this FJ100 landcruiser is In great...

    Weekender at Collegiate Mountains

Well we hit kit testing again. This time at Lake Seminoe in Wyoming. Warmer temps and a better setup... Added a cot, more bag capacity, and some love. I bought a Kni-co wood tent stove as it was needed. Roof rack build. Trying to keep it light. Days end. A new day. Lucky dog...

Looks like I can't dodge the roof rack...

Yeah a cargo bag looks better instead. Let it breathe some if possible. Some of those bags are completely rubberized so best to avoid that route. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks like I can't dodge the roof rack...

It's a springbar tent. So it weighs 70lbs and fits into a space the size of a household air conditioner lol. Good old canvas. I looked at roof boxes at rei and had two major concerns: 1 the guy at REI said he had both of the Yakima and Thule ones and they were great. But they froze shut in...

Looks like I can't dodge the roof rack...

i was wrong in my statement about the tent - its not a RTT it's a ground tent. But it's 10x10 so I have to have a good way to pack it on.

Looks like I can't dodge the roof rack...

Because of the winter/cold weather nature of my explorations, I don't think I can dodge the whole roof rack situation. Especially the tent - it needs a large and flat packout to work out well I think. Loading looks like 200lbs including rack so within the 150kg limits imposed by Mercedes on...

2005 G55 recovery points. What is safe?

I put the front runner on. strange - spell correct changed "installed" to shifted. It now has recovery points, a winch, and I have landed on that bumper for 3 feet up with no damage. Newly made FR bumpers DO fit the W463. You have to cut one of the mounting arms at a place they even mark...
