    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

Thank you so much for sharing this experience and giving me the confidence that the issue is the driveshaft. They did not end up doing the driveshaft which is fine. They did however do my missing DPF sensor and the grid heater relay. I will try my other local dealer and likely be showing your...

    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

Yea it's funny, my old Duramax used to be a constant project. I figured hey I'll get something new and never have to work on it. It still needs work the only difference is its usually covered under warranty so I can at least relax while it gets done lol.

    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

Myself and the truck are back in Colorado! Glendale Dodge got me back on the road in a week! They not only replaced the transmission under warranty but they went to bat for me with Ram and got my tow bill reimbursed. And, on top of that, they got two other open recalls done while the truck was...

    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

The Baja 1000 trip ended early with a blown transmission. Our annual trip down the Peninsula was going to be one for the books. The furthest I have made it down is Mulege and this year we were planning to make it all the way to Cabo. A Bucket list trip for sure, then chase the TT's back up the...

    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

I actually really want a tray for my rig but the cost is holding me back. That is Matt from Off Grid 4x4's truck, he is a MITS Alloy dealer and an overall overland truck building extraordinaire. The cons are definitely there, the bed height increases so running a slide-in camper or similar the...

    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

Sorry to hear about your trans failure, so far mine is running great. I do wish it was smoother in 4low as that shift from second to first is VIOLANT if you're not ready for it. I've started locking it in second gear which helps. Just rolled over 30k this last weekend. That's awesome! Let us...

    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

This is in fact my issue as well. I was doing a good bit of research after my dealer told me its Carli's fault for having too gnarly of a driveline angle (it's not bad at all) and I came across a TSB that has the exact issue. I'm currently waiting on my dealer to review it and get back to me but...

    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

I've been continuing to use and abuse this truck and loving it. 25,000 miles on the odo, 8,000 of those towing 10k plus. A good bit of offroad miles and so far no major issues. I have had the truck in once for a surging issue and they updated the TCM and now it's golden. The only thing I need to...

I wanted to let everyone know that The Diablo Rack for the 5th Gen Ram 2500-3500 is live! Currently, just the cab light version is available but are working on no cab lights as well as Mega Cab. https://sherpaequipmentco.com/products/diablo Also, I wanted to throw in some recent shots from a...

The Roof Rack is coming along, getting close to release on this thing! The Diablo Rack by Sherpa Equipment Co. I'll update here as soon as it is available for purchase but for now just enjoying sharing the process with you all! I also put a Leitner ACS Forged Rack on the truck and its...

A rear winch would definitely be better than nothing haha. But, I also have the air tank relocated back there to fit the Carli Radius Arm drops.

    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

Yea, that project is on hold untill I can really spend some solid time thinking about how to make it work. The biggest issue will be it blocking airflow, the packaing is doable, it will just be pushed forward a little more and need a custom center section that protrudes out a bit.

    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

I hope everyone had a good holiday and have some fun plans for the New Year. I stayed late at the shop on Monday and got all the Baja Designs mounted and wired to the SPOD. I am stoked on how this lighting setup turned out. It's arguably way too much light but out in the desert at night this is...

    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

Yes, we use custom machined Rivet Mounts that attach to the roof. These are then threaded and the rack feet bolt into them, so you can install and uninstall the rack without fussing with the holes/rivets in the roof itself. The install will be very similar to our F-150 Rack System.

    Flemster's 22 Ram 3500 Build - Sherpa Edition

I got my Carli Pintop 3.25 Kit that I orderd from CJC Offroad installed over the weekend. It was a project but managble in 2 days with a couple of hands. Pretty much everything could be done by yourself except for the rear leaf pack. The proggresive leafs are incredibly heavy! Carli Suspension...

Baja Continued... An amazing trip, fun to watch the racing, and great people along the way. I have a lot more coming for the truck over the next month or so. I'll get more parts installed and keep this up to date. Don't hesitate to ask questions or if you want more details on anything...
