Quality and customer service?!? Don't we all. I wish you good luck, and let us know where you end up.

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

I'll toss out a couple thoughts... First of all, I'm kind of like you. These guys are the geniuses and figure everything out, I just copy what sounds good for my situation. Secondly, yes, OBI "should" have worked out most of these design flaws. But they didn't. I should be tall and skinny, but...

Disconnected the batteries and let them sit for 24hrs, each one reads a little over 13.0V. I guess a bad battery cell is not our problem. Thanks again.

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Watch out for the power step in front of the passenger side trailer wheel! My latest casualty. I was trying to put that wheel on the biggest rock, bounced off the step first. Looks like it took a direct, vertical hit to the housing. Bent it pretty bad and it wouldn't open more than an inch or...

That's pretty close to what I was imagining, and actually doesn't seem that bad. We are thinking our problem is with either the refrigerator or the batteries, isolated the fridge last night and it seems to be fine. So I'll disconnect the batteries tonight and check them tomorrow. Thanks for all...

We have a similar issue with our fridge. How do you determine if one or another battery cell is bad?

Road tested the new Monroe shock absorbers... On-road, the ride and handling are much improved. It still likes to bounce a little when conditions are right, but overall a much better towing experience. Definitely worth the time and money to upgrade. Off-road, no noticeable difference. However...

Your VIN sticker should be on the inside of the cross member on the tongue of the camper. It's difficult to see and read. The manufactured date is on the top right corner. We are not entirely sure when the damage to the jack occurred. There were two incidents while pulling off-road that that it...

Not exactly what I wanted to hear. Maybe it was with the other changes at the start of the year, mine was manufactured 10/2021. Happy now to have one that retracts all the way and is actually adjustable! Anyone else have the 500 series on their D13?

Upgraded Shock Absorbers/Tongue Wheel Jack I replaced the original shock absorbers to the Monroe 66440's as WillySwan and gendlert described earlier in this thread. Pretty new to this kind of work but the installation went pretty smooth. I did not lift the camper, and had to spread the upper...

Yep, done that...I appreciate the suggestion though. https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/pre-collision-assist-not-available-warning.19283/#post-422566

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

It would be nice if they could find something to fix. I have had it looked at twice. Dealer says they can't find anything wrong and need to duplicate the problem. Difficult to duplicate the problem with it happening so sporadically. They suggested I come in with the trailer and take a tech for a...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Yes, the bolts on the clamp are too long to get it real tight. I have thought about cutting them down as well, but this is working for now. I always carry a full jerry can, kind of notorious for running out of gas. Right now it rides in the front gear box but would like a better solution. Kind...

Pretty close. The warning that pops up says "Pre-Collision Assist Not Available". It cancels Tow Mode and goes into Limp mode (I guess). The Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power warning (wrench) light comes on. Once, after a couple consecutive times the Check Engine light came on, but everything...

I'm still catching up with this thread... This is my quick, easy fix to the loose tank straps. I cut out a section from a pool noodle, split it down the middle and fit it over the strap. Has worked well so far. Not as elegant or functional as Willy's fix, but that's how I roll. I also use them...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

It has happened with Pre-collision Assist turned off. Have not tried to adjust the sensitivity. Someone has speculated that maybe the camera loses sight of the road, but it seems that would be more consistent and that more people would also have the issue.

Sorry, Willy. I haven't been around much lately and missed this question. The Ranger pulls the Dweller 13 very well, no problems with power or handling on the truck side. It does have the Tremor and tow packages from the factory, and I installed Firestone suspension air bags. The only issue...

Why don't we see more Ford Ranger builds

I'm certainly not going to argue how a city government chooses to spend their money or that an F-150 cab isn't cavernous. But I am 5'11" and have never hit my head getting in the Ranger, nor knocked off my rather large cowboy hat that is frequently on it! Maybe I duck better.

I figured that’s what you were getting at. I know the math. But there is no doubt the Ranger can tow 7500 pounds.
