that’s fine. But would like to see if @gator70 has the goods. Or not. He’s encouraged to start his own thread.

Total Composites Slide In Camper Kits

I’d still like to see those receipts for the built camper, subframe, container shipping, duties, etc. It matters whether those figures you claimed are real. Others on a tight budget might waste a lot of time trying to match them (been there!), when there’s no possibility of doing so. ??

Total Composites Slide In Camper Kits

Really? Because you inserted this comment out of the blue into a long thread dedicated to discussion of TC campers: If what you meant to say was “gee, this is more than I can afford” that’s fine. I feel the same when I gawk at certain state of the art build threads. But your statement implies...

    Camper jack attachment durability

Going through miles of washboard in Death Valley several years ago my jacks dropped/lowered suddenly. Not quite all at once but can happen pretty rapidly if the vibrations are right. Subsequently found out this is not uncommon. So I always detach my jacks, which also narrows my trail profile by...

Payload Tolerances: how close to max is too much?

If you’re glassing the plywood and weight is a primary consideration, then why not dispense w the ply and use a FG skin? Will certainly be lighter and just generally better quality, unless you’re particularly good w layups. or you just enjoy many many hours of sanding.

Payload Tolerances: how close to max is too much?

So you are laminating the foam panels w marine ply I guess? That will need some not insubstantial coating (more than just paint) to be weather resistant, so that’s more weight. What about the framing and corners? Going to reinforce those w alum angle or something? More weight. I don’t go...

Payload Tolerances: how close to max is too much?

I don’t know the details of your planned construction, but your habitat weight seems very low, especially with all that marine ply. I have a TC flatbed camper, opted for some reinforcement in the rear wall, and I came in well over your shell weight. 40 gallons is a huge amount of gray water...

    Total Composites flatbed build

Hey, how did you end up mounting your flatbed to the frame? So much discussion about this early in this thread. did you stick with the 4 corner springs or go in another direction?

    Total Composites flatbed build

OK, so just a hitch mount rack? I’m familiar with the 1Up racks, have one myself. Its just that the photos (which were from quite a distance, so couldn’t really tell) looked like the bikes were pretty elevated, more so than from a typical hitch mount. I guess not. So where’s your fab guy? I’m...

Like that door magnet idea! much better than the slotted latch. But especially like your spare carrier. Do you have more detailed photos? Did your fab shop do the bumper as well? Looks like they do nice work. And do I see bikes mounted in some of your photos? How are they mounted? Really nice...

    building underbed storage w Coosa?

I’m guessing you’ve seen this on the carbon core site, it shows exactly the construction method you mentioned: https://www.carbon-core.com/products/laminated-panels/veneer/ Very interested to try this method, not for the under-bed storage but for some wall cabinets I’ve been thinking about. I...

    building underbed storage w Coosa?

That’s pretty great that you can be comfortable on a 4” mattress with slats. I find without the froli my hips and shoulders always bottom out on a thin mattress. But I’m guessing at 190 I’m carrying more weight than you are. :) Do let me know if you get a weight on your frame. My initial...
