Looking for ideas for a Heater/water heater/AC unit I can hang off the back of my trailer...

I have a cheap propane water heater that I’ve used a couple different times in the mountains, 9k or so. The efficiency is definitely decreased, but it works. I keep my water in white jugs, and I found leaving it out in the sun is enough to make the difference between a cold shower and a nice hot...

Half Torsion axle + idler hub question

I explored this route when I built my camper. I got a quote from a local trailer shop. For a torsion axle, custom width, it was going to be something like 600-800, without hubs, and 6 or 8 weeks lead time. At that time, the half axles weren’t in stock anywhere, but I found a right and a left on...

Half Torsion axle + idler hub question

Interesting enough, I did the exact same thing you are describing. I had considerable trouble getting everything to come together, but it absolutely can be done. Here is a link to the hubs I purchased, but unfortunately they are out of stock: Southwest Wheel 6-Hole, 5.5" Bolt Circle Idler Hub...

    Off Road Squaredrop Build

That’s good. I had a ton of trouble when I did epoxy and fiberglass on my squaredrop. I found if you cut the fiberglass strips on a 45 degree bias, it lays perfectly. May have been the fiberglass I was using, it was my first time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Have you managed to get your 90 degrees corners bubble free with the fiberglass matt? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Off Road Squaredrop Build

Looks good, following. I’ve been down the exact same path as you with water storage on my home made square drop. I finally came to using 4, 5 gallon jugs in my tongue basket. Partly because it helps with weight distribution. Looking for more ideas though, as I’m not sure I will continue as I...

My First Build: M416 Trailer and matching '21 Ford Bronco

I may have to try that. I’ll be raptor lining my squaredrop in a month or two and trying to decide on what color. The wife says gray is boring [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Family Basecamp Utility Trailer (sprint build thread)

That’s good to know. I was hoping to get the 3500 lb axles, but maybe I will go with 2000 lb since they are in stock. I suspect my trailer will finish out to be around 2000. Maybe someone here has a recommendation about running the half axles at or a little over max capacity?? On another note...

Family Basecamp Utility Trailer (sprint build thread)

Looks great, subscribed. I see you have the flexiride axles in your design. I have been trying to find anyone with those in stock, but no luck. I too am in the process of building a trailer and was hoping to use the flexiride half axles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Ltt-flatdeck "Lil Monster" build.

Love your build. Do you have an estimate of how much it cost you? I’m going to start my build shortly, picked up the steel for the frame today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    How strong is unistrut?

I used some unistrut for my cross bars on my 4Runner. Love them so far, very strong and extremely versatile. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
