    GMT800 Tahoe/Suburban Cargo Power?

I was thinking there or under the carpet from the back of the center console if I have to.

    GMT800 Tahoe/Suburban Cargo Power?

Thanks, I'll check out that bigger orange wire on mine and see if it's constant 12v (hoping GM didn't change much from the last gen).

    GMT800 Tahoe/Suburban Cargo Power?

Alternatively, since I'm guessing all those wires are for switched power like the dome lights and maybe the rear wiper, what would be the easiest source to run a wire from?

    GMT800 Tahoe/Suburban Cargo Power?

Hey All - I'm looking to wire a 12V connector on the driver-side of the cargo area in the back of my 2003 Suburban. There's a loom that goes along the rear window and up to the headliner. Before I go tracing everything back into the headliner, does anybody know if any of those wires could be...

    GMT800 Suburban/Tahoe Bumper Options

Hey gang, I just picked up another Suburban (this time a Z71) and need to replace the bumper but having trouble finding "reasonably priced" options out there to replace the rusty and broken one on it. The local salvage yards don't have anything and OE replacements on eBay are around $600, which...

    GMT800 Suburban Differentials?

It was a bunch of reasons it made more sense to grab this Z71 than to keep putting money into the LS. The price was right, and while it needs some love (torn seats, busted bumper, brush rash, etc), it has a lot of things I was missing on the other truck besides the G80 and 3.73s (leather, heated...

    GMT800 Suburban Differentials?

Update: Buying a Z71, like I should have done in the first place  At least now I have a spare G80 for it...

    GMT800 Suburban Differentials?

Thanks for the advice, gang. Found a G80 for the 8.6 / 30 spline rear with 3.73 gears, so have that coming. Now I just need to find a good shop nearby to put it in. Shimming a diff is something I'll leave to a professional.

    GMT800 Suburban Differentials?

Exactly. I'm not doing any "serious" trail work. Mostly looking to bring the driveline at least back to "new" and then some "light" upgrades where practical. A rebuild, gear change, and e-locker looks to be the "easier" way to go. Appreciate the insight. Anybody have experience with any of the...

    Sadly, no.

    GMT800 Suburban Differentials?

I have a 2003 Suburban LS with 230K miles that I'm planning a big driveline overhaul on. Engine has a saggy lifter and needs a few fixes (like the knock sensors), so I'm going to buy a junkyard motor and rebuild it, limiting the truck's downtime. With that, I plan to get the transmission rebuilt...

GMT800 Suburban - Rear Side Window Mount Locations

Those look great! That's exactly what I was looking to do originally. I started to design my own pannels (just got the basic pattern and overall size) and got some quotes (Send-Cut-Send and a few others), only to find it was going to cost me ~$1000. Might as well buy the Orangeboxx ones then...

GMT800 Suburban - Rear Side Window Mount Locations

Not sure why I assumed that front/top mounting point was a second coat hook... but it's not. Looks like the Orangeboxx setup goes through the headliner into who-knows-what. Well crud... Was hoping not to poke holes in the headliner if I wanted to take this out some time.

GMT800 Suburban - Rear Side Window Mount Locations

Hey gang, I'm looking to add some brackets to the inside of my rear windows to hold some gear and a small molle panel to get stuff off the floor and out of the way. I saw this image and thought the coat hooks must be bolted on, but they're not. It's just a (really pain in the butt) plastic clip...

Suburban mild lift parts? (GMT800 '00-06)

I ended up using the CK uppers and it seemed to align up okay. Anybody else have trouble getting the rear springs in? I didn't have enough space with the brake line limiting the rear axle drop so I had to use some spring compressors to squeeze them in. I was worried they would pull on the...

Suburban mild lift parts? (GMT800 '00-06)

Thanks, I'll check those out. Might be worth the extra $40 to have replaceable ball joints.

Suburban mild lift parts? (GMT800 '00-06)

My tires finally arrived (after sitting in a FedEx warehouse for a week), so those are finally getting mounted Wednesday. Ordered the springs and shocks, but now looking at bushings and control arms to do "while I'm in there." Have acdelco swaybar end links and bushings coming, but the upper...

Suburban mild lift parts? (GMT800 '00-06)

Several people have mentioned the use of "HD" coils. I assumed that meant 2500 but maybe it's Z71?

Suburban mild lift parts? (GMT800 '00-06)

Looks like I have the Nivomats, and was planning on replacing the shocks and springs at the same time (the truck has 250K+ so who knows how old the shocks are). How was the change in ride for you switching to these springs/shocks? I know the 5100s seem to be the "go-to" shocks on this platform...

Suburban mild lift parts? (GMT800 '00-06)

Thank you for these! Are those springs considered "stock LT" replacements (to offset some potential sag on the original ones) or do they give a little lift (like they're for the Z71 or 2500)?
