WTB: Camper Shell for 2012 Ram 1500 (5'7" Shortbed) (NorCal)

Looking to purchase a camper shell for my Ram. Would prefer a hightop, but will consider whatever you got! Truck is black but I plan on doing a bed liner so color is not a deal-breaker. In the Truckee, CA area, can drive a reasonable distance in any direction. Let me know what you're looking to...

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

Am looking now at this https://reno.craigslist.org/cto/d/holt-f150-lariat-4x4/7137403223.html Stock, and 2014, so has the 5.0.. don't like the paint, but I'd like to do a DIY Raptor or similar on my truck.

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

Many people say they would not buy a modded or lifted truck. Would you ever buy a truck sold on the classified section of the forum? Or only with a personal friend that you know has done the modifications correctly/ the way you'd want them?

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

So, after some looking around, I have found this. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2342981062660921/?ref=messenger_banner Similar miles, also black, also 6in fabtech lift (though not sure what kind/ quality yet), a 2007, and an F-150. Half the price. To me, it seems to be a similar...

EDIT* Seems all Powerwagons come with lockers, something like this could be pretty nice. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/209402317084951/ Doing some research on them now.

Is the 4.7 a big downgrade from the 5.7? Seems something like this might fit my needs. https://reno.craigslist.org/ctd/d/rocklin-2004-toyota-tundra-sr5-4dr/7136270983.html I did like the size of the 2nd gen, but have heard the the 1st gens are basically like a DCLB Taco w/ a v8.

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

Thanks for the link. I was mostly looking at older Tundras, I've heard good things about 2008 and older, but read reviews that the newer ones have kind of fallen behind F-150s and other competition. I was looking to put 20k into a nicer older one rather than a more stock newer one. Now I'm...

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

This was another big factor I was considering, but I'm wondering if this is a concern with all modified trucks? If I bought a stock truck, modded it, then totaled it, you lose all the $ from the mods?

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

Thanks for all the responses. I have decided to pass on the car, mainly due to the price. I am a bit curious about what a fair price for the vehicle would be. KBB was about 11-13k, while https://vincheck.info gave a price of 15.5k. It is also in Reno, right on the California border, which I...

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

The seller doesn't have the original intake. Are their harms of having the aftermarket intake? Why do people put them on in the first place? Is this the OEM tundra intake ? https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Toyota-PTR03-34100-Intake-Sequoia/dp/B0096GKWDE Is it ok to buy one used and change the...

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

Thanks for the info. It has 35 Toyo AT tires currently, says 90% tread. Yeah, feeling pretty good about the 5.7, has an aftermarket exhaust and air intake, and seems like the owner took pretty good care of it.

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

I guess this seems to imply that is has a Fabtech coilover kit, so it wouldn't be just a spacer lift?

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

A big question I have is what kind of Fabtech lift it is, as I can find kits ranging from 1000-4000k, and from spacers to coilovers. But I guess I'll probably have to see it in person to see what kind it is.

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

Have seen there were no lockers like the tacoma, but I had read that there was an LSD? But upon reading a bit more (https://www.tundratalk.net/threads/limited-slip-differential.61863/) it seems that its just an open dif w/ some marketing. I guess I'm fairly sure about a Tundra, want a ~100k...

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

It also doesn't have a rear dif locker, (I'm not sure if it theses Tundras have LSDs), but I also don't know how important a rear locker is needed vs carrying maxtrax and having a winch. Not expecting it to be too crazy, but I'd like to do some decent offroading, not sure if something like this...

    Opinion on used Toyota Tundra

Thanks for the response. Don't have the $$/desire for a new truck, but its true that the used Toyotas are pretty pricey. Seems it has a Fabtech 6" lift w/ Fabtech coilovers and rearshocks. VIN says its an SR5 but it also appears to have the offroad trim. Is the spacer lift worse off-road than a...
