    Cargo van advice please

The transit has been around for ages, since 2000 they were even developed (not made or assembled in) the United States. weren't sold in North America till 2013 though. Even still, 7 years in North America is a long time, especially considering a lot of couriers use these vans day in and day out...

    Rath's Trailer build - We're done!!!

Thanks! I considered doing the same tire size, but I swap sizes during winter/summer, so I would have had to of picked one or the other. and then I would have had to use a wider axle, or much wider spacers, etc. the tall skinny was the no brainer way to go in this case, and it worked out quite...

    Rath's Trailer build - We're done!!!

few more odds and ends coming together, first trip in 2 weeks! Tongue jack is now on also got the gas shocks mounted to the lid/trailer. They are luckily the perfect strength and moutning position! only a little bit of math was involved in choosing where they mounted, and it worked out...

GPS tracker for security on the trailer

it's not uncommon in the Powersports theft area to look for them. They know there is a good chance they are there, so they know to look. Obviously, if they don't expect there to be one, they won't be looking for it. trailers probably aren't as common to expect them on, but to think a GPS...

GPS tracker for security on the trailer

for this very reason. It's more common than you would think to look for trackers/disable them, unfortunately. as they become more popular to use, people stealing things start to learn a lot about them. well, the career criminals anyways. they definitely still work against the crime of...

    Rath's Trailer build - We're done!!!

buttoning up a bunch of small things the last few days. trimmed the fenders up, and bent them outwards a tiny bit. trimmed 7" off the front and 5" off the back. and made mounts. I made them to bolt into existing holes that hold the wood on, as to not leave any extra holes if I choose to change...

I got the from Princess Auto. Theyre just Bullet Hinges though, can get them all kinds of places. Went with this style since it makes the lid removable very easily.

    Frame material?

definitely overkill, but if you don't mind paying the extra $$ for the thicker material then go for it. My trailers frame is 2x3 1/8 wall and it's overkill too, but it leave me room for future changes if I want as well. Something else to keep in mind.

    Rath's Trailer build - We're done!!!

Got the end of the tongue plated up, and there is zero slop at all in the pintle ring now! Perfection. I am still going to run a strap around the entire thing for added strength. But, that was done enough for me to get it hooked up to the truck for a little test pull! Mainly testing...
