    Bed rack bike mount diy

My mtn bike got chewed up against my daughters bike on a hitch mount holder the last few days. I've seen the bed rack mount by Victory 4x4 https://www.victory4x4.com/product/VBR-BM.html?gad=1 I have the thru axle mounts already and ratchets but don't have a brake to bend any metal for a...

Help with layout... is this possible?

I know it's not the most ideal setup but there doesn't seem to be many flexible panels in this price range. I do have a mppt controller but it's a bit too big for this mobile setup. Any recommendations? This is the one I have I'd like something smaller.

Help with layout... is this possible?

Ya I'm gonna run some tests to compare resistance. Grabbed both a 50' 8 gauge extension and 25' 12 gauge extension.

Also I'm putting together a SAE extension cable for this package. I'd like to run 50' in the event we have a shaded camp spot and need to reach out from camp. Looks like 8 gauge is preferred with longer lengths. What do you guys suggest?

Help with layout... is this possible?

Something like this would be nice as a freezer. Would likely have a second cooler for perishables. Looks like 5-6 amps continuous. Another question is how to mount something like this so it doesn't get stolen if I leave camp or want to fish the river(boat launches are notorious). Thanks guys.

Help with layout... is this possible?

Rather than start a new post I should ask this question here. If I wanted to get a portable solar setup to charge this battery for camping in Western Washington weather 8 months out of the year and possibly add in a cooler/freezer to extend our meat expiration how many panels would you guys...

Help with layout... is this possible?

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll play around with a short wire setup first before laying things out. Gotta make sure the remote works.

Help with layout... is this possible?

Ok I've got more wire on order. The battery enclosure came today. My deep cycle group 27 fits great. I won't be using anything big with this setup (no fridge/freezer). So 10mA shouldn't be any issue. The universal wireless remote style switch is more than I'd hoped for and pretty awesome...

Help with layout... is this possible?

So I grabbed one of these battery enclosures for my '07 Tundra because I live in the country and wanted to both have a backup battery and power for misc gear when camping. I also ordered four 18 watt lights for the sides of my bed rack for camp/backup lighting when needed. I've also got some...

Anyone convert their patio bbq to take camping? Hear me out

Exactly. I may even use the cargo table at home as my bbq is not real sturdy on those 4 screws.

Anyone convert their patio bbq to take camping? Hear me out

Lol I heard that. You can't judge how another man parties if he's smiling. I just want a big foot print grill top that packs up fairly easy. Tired of standing at a low output grill watching other people eat. I know my grill and it works!

Anyone convert their patio bbq to take camping? Hear me out

After looking at a bunch of overpriced grills that either lack in cooking surface or BTU's I'm half tempted to chop the sides and base off our Home Depot Charbroil 4 burner grill. Eating well is a big part of our camping experience and we both like to cook (family of 3). Was looking at the...

Help choosing a 270 w/annex and vehicle platform

Trying to extend our camping season since moving near the national forest and other state parks. Also debating selling our truck and truck camper as we don't generally camp in the dead of winter and summers get real hot in a TC. We've got a FSR High Country 80 on a L322 Rang Rover mounted on a...

LR3 Air vs. Coil in depth comparison

Right on look forward to your assessment! Just finished watching all your vids and have to say they're well done. Good to see an unbiased pov with real critique. Just talked to Tom at Great Basin in your area and he'd just told me some guys are modding the bags. Pretty cool mod ya got there. I...

LR3 Air vs. Coil in depth comparison

Do you have any workarounds for using the air system with chains? I'm on 285/60/20 with a 2.5" Rhino lift and 30mm spacers. Yet to try socks or the separate lashings with studs, don't think either qualify when's chains are *required.

Help deciding on wiring for light bar/extra battery in Range Rover L322

Appreciate you taking the time here Dogpilot. What your saying makes sense. Rather than take the chance I decided to order the harness for cheap piece of mind. I'll monitor things with my IR gun and see how it goes. I'm curious as to seeing how well the battery recharges when out roaming on...

    Drug Dealer?

Really enjoyed this as I've been planning out various exterior/interior configurations of my own and your thread has given me piece of mind. Looks like you wheel mostly with others but what kind of recovery are you using and have you thought about a winch? I'll be doing a fair amount solo and...
