    Suburban/Tahoe(and GMC) pic/build thread

Looks nice. I did this on my Tahoe. Added a kickout in the back for the passengers and to access the roof better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2004 Chevy Tahoe Z71 Front/Rear Bumper option

Here’s my front bumper. Ended up having my brother in law help me fab one bc I didn’t like anything available to buy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Suburban/Tahoe(and GMC) pic/build thread

Not sure about the OPs truck, but my Tahoe still has the rear sway bar connected and on stock wheels. Clears 33s fully stuffed well with some mild mild rubbing on the body side of the wheel well liner. Offset wheels or a wheel spacer would fix that but doesn’t bother me. Sent from my iPhone...

Here’s my 04 Tahoe Z71 if you’re still looking through trucks. A modest build I’d say. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    04 Tahoe Z71 Project

Nice! Yea that’s originally what I had in mind as well, but I found that the top bumper cap is not self sustaining. It attaches to the lower portion of the bumper as well and is held up with the bumper mounts up front. The side bumper mounts need to be cut off if you want the added clearance...

    04 Tahoe Z71 Project

So the top tube is mounted to 2 short tubes straight to the frame behind the bumper. You can see the 2 tubes to the frame better on the picture below. The bottom tube is obviously bent in such a way to mount to the top tube but it’s also on the same plane as where the old tow hooks used to...

    04 Tahoe Z71 Project

What would you like to know? My brother in law helped me fab that up. There aren’t any nice bumpers out there for Tahoe’s, let alone one that kinda fits my style. I wanted to have a little bit of the prerunner look and a little bit of the hybrid bumper style that’s popular now. Sent from my...

    04 Tahoe Z71 Project

UPDATE: Sliders are on and am stoked on how they came out! I have them at 0 degrees so that I can use them as a little step as well. I also plated in the back kick out with a hole cut mesh type sheet. Came out nice! You’ll see in the pictures the design we did allowed us to brace the legs as...

    04 Tahoe Z71 Project

Haha yea I hear you on that. For my bumper I had my brother in law help me and for the sliders, I found a guy on OfferUp who makes sliders for Tacoma’s and 4runners. I basically just told him that I like the design he does and asked if he could make that in the length I needed. Not sure where...

    04 Tahoe Z71 Project

Does the link work? I tried linking the other forum but when I clicked on it, it didn’t seem to work. Here are the sliders though. I’ll be plating in the kick out portion and painting it all black. Likely going to be running a 0 degree angle so I can utilize them as a step as well. Sent...

2003 Tahoe Build - Family Overland Rig

You know what. I just realized I missed the part where OP said he had installed additional rear coil spacers prior to the bilsteins blowing, which makes sense why he went with 3” next. That’s my mistake for missing that piece of info. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2003 Tahoe Build - Family Overland Rig

Hi there! Love the build so far! Essentially exactly what I’m looking to do with my 04 Z71. Question regarding your Bilstein’s: I see originally you went with the Z71 springs and the 0-1” 5100s in the rear, which you think may have blown due to being too short. You then went to the 3” 5100s...
