    Yukon XL (9th Gen) Z71 equivalent?

    Keep in mind the G80 in the 1500 'burbs has a different reputation for strength vs the one in the 2500 rear axles. It may not matter to the soccer mom, but if you plan on doing any moderate trails it is worth a mention.

    Does a Yukon count?! I also posted in the full size thread, but here is my '04 Yukon XL 2500. SLT trim, 4.10 gears, 8.1L, G80, Norcal fender mod, 33x12.5-17's on 17x9 zero offset wheels. So far it has taken me everywhere I've ever wanted to go!

    Well, I did some more measuring and the outside-outside dimension of the arms (including the bushings, which are fully seated) is 16.50" on both. It seems my problem is that the inside of the bushings on the stock control arms has been deformed / smashed over time. I'm going to play around with...

    It doesn't sound like much I get. If I saw this on any of the installation videos I would have no heartburn at all about spreading the mounts. All the YouTube videos I have seen show the new arms just sliding into place which is why I was so caught off guard. I really appreciate the response...
