98 Isuzu Amigo - The Darcy Build

While waiting for UPS to deliver the last parts for the panhard, I decided to do some trimming. Cranked the torsion bars as much as I feel comfortable with - still rubs. Trimmed a tiny bit, just barely touches the inner fender at full lock. I think the lift will have to solve the rest. Two of...

I had NATO Wolfs on my Disco and they cleared mud just fine. They seem about as solid as the Fifteen52 Analog HD. I found a similar wheel to the Fifteen52 made by KMC. KMC KM720 Roswell: But the Fifteen52 seemed to draw my attention more. The Frontier had a fairly gapped spoke, and still...

Think they will rub without the lift? Spoiler...they do. I think I can crank the torsion bars enough for them to clear for now. 4.25"BS / 0mm Offset. 7.5" rim. So it provides a nice balance between a wider stance and keeping the tire mostly tucked in the wheel well. I will have a little...

More on that later! These will do quite nice. All the math added up. Thin wall socket is required for the lugs. Fifteen52 Analog HD. Reminds me of a steelie without the weight. Now I just need a lift!!

Decided to try and escape the rain and snow today. Drove out to the Marietta Wild Burro Range. Rain caught up to me anyways. I hope the lift arrives soon. The suspension on this poor thing is shot.

What snorkel are you looking at? The ARB one looks like a nasal cannula... *Correction. Its the TJM not the ARB.

Do you have this same void behind the rear bumper? Seems like it would be adequate space for a OBA system. Maybe a small pancake tank.

The steering rack was a royal pita. I don't ever want to do that again. Seat covers came! The rear bench is going to be a trick. Fronts are in.

Wheels have been ordered. I am going to keep details under wraps until they arrive. I am 99% sure my math is correct. But just incase it isn't...I am going to wait until they arrive before I recommend them as an option.

Utility Mat Picked it up at the local Tractor Supply. I've used it for other projects in the past. Very durable, inexpensive. Initially smells like tires, but that goes away in time.

Whoever designed the stock rear panhard should be fired. Boogery welds. Unnecessary holes. Silly bushing design. With an arsenal of rod ends, heim joints, and misalignment spacers I still couldn't get it quite right. 21mm stud on the axle, 12/13mm bolt on the frame mount. 50mm width on one...

The picture is a bit disorienting, but it's just shy of .5" away. I saw Calmini's option. A bit pricey and with their reputation, I think I will stay away. I can't see the benefit of adding a bend. Extending or moving the axle bracket should solve the problem of the axle being pushed...

Started on the cargo thing today. 3/4" Birch. 24"x38.5" was the final size to allow room for the carpet and keep everything snug. Commercial carper with a rubber backing. Adhesive spray, clamps and staples. Corner brackets to keep everything taught. Probably unnecessary, but one of my...
