Slick rig. I had a 2005 2wd Tahoe and loved it.
4.8 or 5.3?
Is the suspension stock other than shocks?
What size are the tires?
Mine had 4 captains chairs not a rear bench. Does the bench fold down or is it fixed?
Does this have the “auto ride” airbag system?

Time has come for me to move on from my beloved truck.
I have owned this truck since 2011.
I have driven it from LaPaz Baja to Tuktoyaktuk Canada (Arctic Ocean) and everywhere in between. 3500 mile trip through Utah last year. Many trips into the Death Valley back country. This...
Killer truck, just read through most of your build. Funny how it started with cheap shocks and a spacer lift and ended up with 2.5” kings on custom mounts. Sounds familiar haha. Saw this picture and I think I have one from the same turnout.
I got goosebumps looking at your Alcan pics. I want to...
I usually hang out in the Domestic full size forum but I had to share a Cayenne story.
i was camping in Big Sur, California 6 years ago. A beautiful bright red Cayenne turbo pulls in. Matching custom painted gloss red storage box on the roof. Mom/dad 2 teenage sons pile out. Open the hatch and...
Non factor. We got my truck through with 155”. A mega cab which I think is 159” and that extended box econoline van on 33’s through without touching rocks.

Camped night 1 in Lone Pine in the snow.
Came from hwy 168 down Eureka valley to the dunes. Through Steel pass to the Saline hot springs. Camped at the base of Lippincott. Up Lippincott to the racetrack, right at Teakettle Junction then over Hunter mountain in the snow. Then all the way down...
My buddy Ruben came by to say hello in his cool short bed 2nd gen. Set up with an RTT, fridge, awning, shower, winch, 4.56 gears, winch etc etc etc.

At this point the trip became a bit of a marathon. Dad and I were in a bit of a hurry to get home to the small plumbing business we run. We averaged 600 miles a day for the next 5 days.
We camped at a provincial park just north of Watson lake. Then the next morning we went into the sign post...
We made it to Tuktoyaktuk at 1:30. The weather was beautiful, clear blue skies and sunshine, light breeze. There were a few other tourists at the end of the road.
This stranger was putting his feet in the ocean at the same time I was. We look at each other smiled and returned a thumbs up to...
I won’t try to do justice to the views. I’m not patient enough or articulate enough. But you cross 3 mountain ranges and countless rivers, before you descend down onto the tundra. It’s about 500 miles of gravel from the turn off to Tuk.
About 200 miles in we ran into these 2 cool ladies...
Had a flawless drive to Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean and then home.
Picked up the truck from the storage yard in Fairbanks, AK, hooked up the battery and the truck fired right up after 3 months in storage.
Stopped at an REI and my dad picked up a new down sleeping bag (needed a new one...
