It's a 3500# axle picked up off the shelf at tractor supply. It's about a foot wider than the HF axle. Still using the HF leaf springs, which really do nothing since they're so short, but with the tires aired down it doesn't bounce around too much on bumpy trails.

I would like to see this package on a JL. I've always been a minimal lift and big tire kind of guy. Just give me a leveling kit and 37s on a Mojave JL and I'd be a happy camper. I would also like the seats from the High Altitude, but I'm not willing to pay for those.

I have broken 23mpg a few times with my 2 door JK (3.6). I don't see any reason the diesel can't get up to 30mpg.

The Gladiator has a 9 inch longer wheel base than the Colorado or the Tacoma, and about 5.5 inches longer overall. (these are all in the 4 door short bed configuration) It's also the most expensive when fully equipped.

$4,000 option + $2,000 8 speed auto option. The 8 speed in the V6 is going up in price to $2,750, so diesel is essentially a $3,250 option over the equivalent V6. Not bad.
