Any info on a Sunlite Valor?

Does anyone have any good information about the Sunlite Valor slide in truck camper? We just picked one up as a project, and haven't had any luck finding information on it. The manufacturer's plate is so faded and weathered, I can't even make out the year or serial number. Previous owner didn't...

OK, let's get creative here - I want to build a camper where the solar panels ARE the roof of the camper. Not just mounted to it. Ideas?

Thanks everyone for the speculation and consideration. I hadn't considered the heating issue of the panels themselves... I'll have to look into that further. I suppose if you're using the panels in a cold environment, capturing that heat and conducting it into the roof might be an advantage...

I might be interested in buying that as is, but I'm definitely interested in sharing some ideas. Got time for a phone call today or this week? 813-895-1717, Nick.

OK, let's get creative here - I want to build a camper where the solar panels ARE the roof of the camper. Not just mounted to it. Ideas?

I'm going back and forth between buying a All Terrain Camper Shell, having it modified by them to the size I want, and then building it out from there... or just start from scratch to build my own ultra-light-weight camper. At my old job, they have these carports where the roof of the carport...

Anyone visiting Florida with their FWC, Pheonix, or ATC this year?

Yeah, didn't get much of a response on that one, been a few weeks. Sometimes I wish these guys had dealers. Might have to make a trip to CA and CO.

Anyone visiting Florida with their FWC, Pheonix, or ATC this year?

I'm trying to find the right camper for me, or I might just build one. Is anyone in Florida with a truck camper? Preferably a FWC or an ATC, or maybe a Travel Lite or other brand? I'd really like to go for a ride in your truck to see how it feels with the rig on it. I'm torn between a Pop-Up...

Newbie Question: how much wind does your hard side truck camper catch?

Thanks for the tip. yeah, we're planning to go as light as humanly possible. It's strictly going to be for camping purposes, if we need a shower, we'll find a campground or a hotel. I'd love to be able to leave my tailgate on and even close it! The part I'm not sure about, is the wind the...

Newbie Question: how much wind does your hard side truck camper catch?

I'm coming out of a Class C, a 30 footer at that. It drives about like you'd expect. Blows all over the road, and turns about as well as a jellyfish. I'm trying to decide between a hard-side and a pop-up camper, and weight will definitely be an issue. We're even considering building our own...

Anyone have a Phoenix Pop-Up in Florida or planning to Visit Florida this year?

I'm coming out of a Class C, and trying to choose the right Pop-Up or Hard-Side truck camper for my F150 (Crew Cab, 5.5 ft bed). Going to look at an ATC next week, and would love to see a Phoenix in person. I'm located in Tampa/Fort Myers (back and forth), but willing to travel anywhere in the...
