I had a 2007 for a few years. Traded it last month on a 2017 JKU. I do miss the extra cargo space of the Commander but wanted another Wrangler. Mine had a 2.5" lift, Rubicon Wheels,at the time of the pic it had 255/75/17 tires, later swithced to 265's.

With a 2.5 lift, 245/ 75/17 load range E Toyo AT2's, approx 150lbs gear in back I get about 17.5 hwy running 75, and 14.3 around town.

Here is mine I built out of scrap, and discount materials. Only had to buy the axle, lights and jack new. Took about 2 weeks of work. I use it around the farm, camping and to haul materials when I don't want to use my truck.

I switched from a M/T 33x12.50 to a BFG 33x10.50 KM2. Gas mileage went up 2mpg. Acceleration and braking improved. The savings was about 38lbs total IIRC. The problem I had was hydroplanning with the 12.50's. Not a problem with the 10.50's. My vote goes to a 33x10.50 on a Jeep.
