    Question about ARB Fridge

I haven't used this personally but it looks like it would do the job. https://plastidip.com/our-products/rerack/ http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2890818

    Goal Zero Yeti 400 Experiences?

Charging it off of your car battery through the cig plug while the vehicle is off won't work. I have 10ga wire right from the battery that I can use to charge my yeti 400. It will charge for a little while once the car is off until the surface charge of the car battery wears off. The yeti will...

    BMW Jackets & Pants SOLD

According to the BMW sizing charts the jacket should fit- EU 54 5'11" chest 42-43. Pants EU 56 41"-42" waist 32" inseam. I think the pants run a bit small since this is my current jeans size which fit fine but these pants are snug to the point that they wouldn't be too comfortable.

How to make a Nozzle/Spigot thingy for your Scepter/LCI water can

It's not a filter. It's simply a threaded plastic piece that screws onto the garden hose or water bandit and has a ball valve to shut off the flow. I use one to fill up the water tank on my pop up if I'm going to be boon docking. Then the water doesn't splash everywhere from the hose.

How to make a Nozzle/Spigot thingy for your Scepter/LCI water can

I built one of these 12V systems using the whale pump and faucet. http://expeditionportal.com/water-system-in-a-can/ It's for sale here http://www.livingoverland.com/p/store.html but has already been back ordered for almost a year and looks like end of 2016 best case. I got sick of waiting so I...

    springbar tent choice

Not a salesman for kodiak by any means. I just spent months comparing the two. I made several trips to kirkhams, sportsmans warehouse, cabelas to look at both models in person set up. It's easy to look at pictures and say they're the same tent so I was simply trying to point out some of the...

    springbar tent choice

The Kodiak isn't one of those cheap Chinese knockoffs where it looks the same but falls apart instantly. I found this chart http://www.competitiveedgeproducts.com/assets/images/Kodiak_Springbar_Comparison_6055.pdf that compairs the two, granted it's by a website trying to sell the Kodiak tents...

    springbar tent choice

Check out Kodiak Canvas http://www.kodiakcanvas.com/flex-bow-tents/ I live in Utah where springbar tents are made and grew up sleeping in them as a scout. My dad also owns a Traveler 5. I think that the Kodiak are just as well made and offer some upgrades the springbars don't have. They're...

What is everyone using to power their portable fridges?

I have two yeti 400's I chain together and have no problem running the fridge, charging Ipad, Iphone, MacBook pro and some of their light-a-life's with the 100 watt panel. I'm also in Utah so we probably get the same amount of sun as CO. If I was in Seattle 100 watts probably wouldn't keep up...

What is everyone using to power their portable fridges?

I've got the ARB 50 running through a yeti 400. The yeti is plugged into the rover and charges when driving. When stopped for more then a day I charge the yeti through one of their new 100W panels. I got it through promotive so it wasn't MSRP. It's still kinda spendy for 100W panel but I love...

Goal Zero ~ Yetti 400 vs ARB 50qt fridge

That's a good idea on the extension cord. One of those little solar powered battery maintainers that plugs into the cig lighter probably won't be enough to charge up the battery with how quickly a fridge depletes it. I'm guessing that you've been looking at things similar to this...

Goal Zero ~ Yetti 400 vs ARB 50qt fridge

Will the fridge work off the cig plug just hooked up to your vehicle? Like with out using the yeti.

Goal Zero ~ Yetti 400 vs ARB 50qt fridge

As far as building my chaining cable it was simple. I used 24" of this zip wire it's almost like a twizzlers pull and peel. https://powerwerx.com/red-black-bonded-zip-cord Looks like the minimum that you can buy in 10ga is 25' for $35. I just used the extra from when I made the plug for my...

Goal Zero ~ Yetti 400 vs ARB 50qt fridge

I ran 10ga wire to the back of the rover and installed an anderson plug. https://powerwerx.com/powerpole-connector-chassis-mount-4 One side is 10ga and always hot, the other side I tapped into the factory cig plug and it's keyed to the ignition. This way I can run the fridge directly from the...

Goal Zero ~ Yetti 400 vs ARB 50qt fridge

I haven't seen it published but when I was talking with a GZ rep down at their factory store she stated that when the display reads 0 there's still 20% battery left. I'm sure there has to be some sort of under voltage protection built into the battery monitoring and that's why it states right in...

Goal Zero ~ Yetti 400 vs ARB 50qt fridge

My ARB is a 50qt also. I've ran it using the original cig plug on both of my yeti 400's and have never had a problem with it turning on or running.

Goal Zero ~ Yetti 400 vs ARB 50qt fridge

I run this ARB and yeti 400 combo and find it ideal. The yeti is plugged into the truck so it charges when driving. The nice thing is I can move the whole setup to the wife's Acadia to use for vacations and stuff so I'm not tied to one vehicle like I would be with a true dual battery setup in...
