    Econoline Question

On my 08' with rear hear/air. A/C comes out the top, heat from the bottom. I'm not aware of being able to run heat in front and A/C in back or vice versa. The rear only runs on recycled air AFAIK and is very efficient. It will cool or heat to uncomfortable levels.

    Webasto 2000 heater for $350?!

I had an Air Top 2000 (Webasto) factory installed in my highway tractor that performed flawlessly for 4 years of almost daily use. Then in year 5 it started to have issues and was deemed too costly to fix . I replaced it with a "Chinese Webasto" being told it came from the same factory and was...

Van resources in British Columbia? Specifically seats?

Well then buy your seats in Alberta and avoid that pesky 7% PST in the process. LOL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Van resources in British Columbia? Specifically seats?

BTW, BC is a pretty big place. A region or nearby city would be helpful. Also, in Chilliwack there is mobility converter that likely has rear seats available as those often get pulled to make room for a wheelchair. Edit: Sidewinder Conversions Yale Rd. Chilliwack BC. Also, I'm 99% sure...

Van resources in British Columbia? Specifically seats?

Are you anywhere near Abbotsford? I have one 3 position seat with center seat belt out of a 2008 E350. I believe it's the one from front row. Floor brackets included. PM me if interested. I'm on the road but someone is home. Otherwise, A-combined truck parts on Riverside Rd in Abbotsford will...

    Transplanting a pop top?

Yes. 46.5" x 107". There was one spot on either side where it was cut larger to accommodate the lifting mechanism. That was like 20" long by maybe 2" or thereabouts. Il get those for you if you want.

That's not screwing around with a Eurovan, that's serious.

    The best adventure travel boots.

Blundstones with the Chunk sole and steel toe. I buy factory blems for about 75% and wear them every day. By the time the sole wears out, the leather and elastic are toast as well.

Great job! So what did you use to cut the plate?

    Transplanting a pop top?

The more I think about this, the more questions I have. Now I'm worried about my side- Barn Doors. If I give them a goog slam now, I see the roof skin move. Once I cut out the roof cross members, the Penthouse frame will be the only stiffener that the doors close against. The hole is 46.5" x...

I like it! My older brother bought a Westy this summer, my younger brother is looking for one. I've got way too many kids for one.

What did you use to make the cut? Cutting disk or sawsall?

    Transplanting a pop top?

I found this Sportsmobile top attached to a Standard length 97 Dodge. I wonder if it will fit on an RB Ford. It appears to be in treasonable shape.

    E rated Hiway tires

I'm pretty sure the only tire for these vans that is better than an LTX MS is an LTX MS2.

Junk Yard Finds And CB Antenna's

As high and in obstructed as possible. So on a van that would be right ********** in the middle of the roof. Unless you have a roof rack. I use a Wilson 1000 mag mount and it works great.

Baja bound, then Trans Canada via dirt roads, spares?

At 110 K, those plugs may be original. I'd change them before leaving and then you won't have to touch them again. Thanks for the gravel road link. (95% of Sask should be in there eh? ) I'm heading up the Cassiar in a commercial truck later this week. Wish it was in my van.....

    Your favorite camping meals

Oatmeal by Thermos. I used a 16oz. wide mouth Thermos to cook oatmeal for years while driving a nightly 500 mile rounder in a big truck. It took some experimenting but I settled on 1/2 cup steel cut oats and 1-1/2 cups boiling water. It takes a few hours for steel cut oats, but far less for...

    Lifted 2wd Vans

My 08' has metric bolts and the Maxx kit is standard thread so you may have to buy some hardware. Maybe not. 3/4"x 8" Grade 8, I think, plus washers. On a 17 year old van, it may make the front a little higher. Oh and those TTC 2814 springs I used are finally starting to ride nice. But...
