Having done both before, with two people you will be happier with the Gladiator/Alu Cab Canopy Camper, if by yourself, the Wrangler set up is just fine. The space in the Wrangler really is an issue with two adults, not to mention getting up in the middle of the night to do your "business" with...
Looking for ideas on mounting and installation ideas for StarLink Mobility for my 2023 Gladiator Rubicon with an Alu Cab Canopy Camper. I am planning a trip to the Arctic within the next year and with my work I really need to be able to be in touch with my office in case an emergency arises at...

On pavement, yeah it is more reliable, lots of time off pavement, that is a horse of a different color. Give me a Jeep for offroad reliability over a Toyota every day of the week and twice on Sunday. They are just not anywhere as "beefy" as a Jeep leading to a higher rate of offroad...
Yeah, the Centerforce Clutch upgrade is great for a standard transmission Jeep of any model. Regearing is also what you want to do, especially as heavy as we load our vehicles.
The history I have seen is that if you never leave the pavement Toyotas are more reliable, but once you start putting them offroad they have more that breaks simply due to the fact they are not as beefy as Jeeps. I have seen more Toyotas on the side of trails with issues than Jeeps, even in...
There are a number fixes for this. I put the Genesis Dual Battery system in mine and did away with the battery issue. You can bypass the auto stop/start also.
That is a heck of a build. I wish I could understand what they were saying. That is along the lines of what I was thinking about, but a little bit too much with regards to the inside of the cab.
Here are some photos of a JLU with an Alu-Cab RTT that was similar to the Ursa Minor replacement top that I ran across on social media. It basically was an Alu-Cab RTT mounted directly to the hardtop of a Wrangler that you could enter and exit from within the Jeep. It looked like the freedom...
Can you link the batteries to jump start your starter battery if it dies for whatever reason? I am also wondering how the ambient heat in a vehicle will impact the lithium battery when you are parked for a day or two and the vehicle heats to the extent that the lithium battery is impacted. Do...
Thanks for clearing that up for me, because I was a little miffed by what I was seeing on You-Tube and online plus what I was being told by Genesis. Once again I am not an electronics whiz and pretty much have to rely upon what I am finding on the internet for my ad hoc education on the issue.
Nice system. Once again, I am not an electrical whiz but from what I have gathered in reading up on in line dual zone Solar / DC-DC chargers both your crank battery and your "house" battery need to be of the same type, either lithium to lithium of AGM to AGM or lead to lead. Maybe I am missing...
I have not used one so take what I say with a grain of salt. I do love every single ARB product I use due to its durability and its functionality for cost. I have no reason to believe this would be any different. They certainly LOOK like they would be great.
In the upcoming year I plan on starting a build based on the JT and an Alu-Cab Canopy Camper. Due to those who build vehicles like we do, weight is always an issue and no matter what we do, we tend to push the limits, more often than not exceeding the stated ones. Especially when we start...
Like anything else in the auto industry, I imagine if this is a fact, there is a delete, either legal or illegal, out there for this particular "safety" feature. I live in a state where auto inspections are not required so therefore deletes for every imaginable item are available, to include...
That is not the case for my 2018 JKUR for whatever the reason. I guess that is one of the upgrades for JLs and JTs from the JK series. Plus, the alternator market is full of alternators for JKs that have a high output that are in the 200A range.
