Cost of a 20" box build out?

I sourced my box walls from a company that supplies panels for refrigerated lorries. They CNC cut panels and window/door cut outs. Total cost of 4 walls for a 4.2mx2.2m box was about $6k. I mounted these in an aluminium frame designed for HVAC plant retrofit installation units made by an...

Cost of a 20" box build out?

I started tracking, but stopped when the numbers got big and scary!! I have a log of all the "hardware" but not the "consumables". Given I'm building all the internal structure from home made vacuum formed composites these do add up. I think that using a commercial purchase price as an...

Barrier between subframe and composit hab box

Too early to tell for me. I'm working on the basis that the container lock mount and sockets are designed for direct interface and many more miles of use than mine will ever experience.

Barrier between subframe and composit hab box

I have 8mm rubber on the ladder design subframe under my box. The container lock corner mounts on the box stand proud (low) by 8mm so the hard mounting points are in direct contact metal to metal.

    U1xxx cab sound proofing

Thanks Iain, did you dynamat doors, roof and rear of the cab too? With the carpet, is that fixed using contact adhesive directly to the metal?

    U1xxx cab sound proofing

Does anyone have experience of effectively applying soundproofing in a square cab mog? If so I'm wondering what you found effective?

    1963 Mog 404- ballpark what's it worth?

In the UK fully a fully restored 404 doka hardtop, beautifully done, sold for something like 35k in the last 12 months. It had been on the market for around 3 years though. I think it's the kind of thing where there is very little demand at a premium level, but when a collector wants one they...

Maintaining a small prairie remnant in southeastern Wisconsin

It is fantastic that you are doing this. From a country with no natural spaces left, where everything, wild included, has been shaped by human intervention, it's great to see some (ironic I know) human intervention to help restore the older natural state. Well done.

    1124 AF Double Cab

Having had AV work on my Mog over the last couple of years I have to say that they have been exceptional in their attention to detail. Of course you should check, but I would be staggered if they hadn't done lots of work and thinking about how to make sure this was going to work.

    My Journey

You really didn't like that one! I'm wondering what made it so terrible? Nice views though, as you said.

The things you find on top of your skid plate.

An ex-girlfriend of mine once found a fish wedged in the cabin air intake of her car after she dumped me. I really have no idea at all how it got there, but by the time she found it, it had been there for some time ?

    ITTOG's Overlanding Trips

Glad your ankle is not to badly hurt. I was worried for you there. I broke mine 30 months ago and it's only in the last 2 months that I have got properly back to running again without pain. Take it easy and try not to crash ;)
