SOLD - 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with Ursa Minor J30 -- $31k in Utah

Road noise, I actually think it is better than a standard Jeep + a hard top since the ursa minor top is lined with carpet inside. Mine does fit in the garage and I'm little under 7' (actual opening is ~ 81.5") I did have to take off the yakima crossbars to make sure it fits which was a bummer...

SOLD - 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with Ursa Minor J30 -- $31k in Utah

Yep, still for sale. Send me a PM if you’re interested. Thanks! I really can’t say anything bad about it except I wish it was couple inches bigger in each direction or I had more garage space to keep it. :)

SOLD - 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with Ursa Minor J30 -- $31k in Utah

Hi everyone, I'm selling my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited equipped with an Ursa Minor J30 camper top. I've had it for almost two years and have really enjoyed it but am ready to move on to something else. With two people and two large dogs, the Jeep is a little too cramped for us. I...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

I’m not sure if John is still doing installs out of the Portland shop but that is an option too. That’s what I did about 18 mos ago. It was great to meet John, understand exactly how things were supposed to work, and Oregon has no sales tax!

Nicely done! The map pockets were something that I really thought was extraneous but I actually used them a bunch on my recent trip. I’d say go for it for anyone not the fence.

    Dometic PLB40 Reviews

I’ve been using the PLB40 non-stop since about August 29th while on a big East Coast road trip (Acadia National Park was awesome!). I’m parked with some family for a couple of days before heading back to Utah and thought I would share my impressions. My setup: I’m using the battery to run my...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

Happy to report that I’m J30 #376! I got it installed by John in Portland on August 28th and then I hit the road for a big East Coast trip so it has been in use pretty much nonstop except for staying with family and a couple of Airbnb’s here and there. I think I’ve got 10 nights total in the...

    Dometic PLB40 Reviews

It took a lot longer than expected mostly due to a PC being required to perform the update but thanks to a local Dometic rep, my firmware is up to date and the battery ran great over the weekend with my ARB fridge. It ran it for about 36hrs before I turned it off (charge was around 44% at that...

Hey guys, A couple of updates: Contact with Dometic Support Last Friday (7/26) I contacted Dometic about my issue with the battery through their online customer service form. Tuesday (7/30), I was emailed directly by one of the reps. He acknowledged the need for a firmware update to solve...

    Dometic PLB40 Reviews

So I've been digging into this further. It appears to be a firmware issue with the early units. People are saying the time should be 24hrs and that Dometic can send you the tools to update the firmware. I've contacted them and hopefully they get back to me quickly. You can see the mistake in...

    Dometic PLB40 Reviews

Hey guys, I got mine along with my ARB fridge and have been playing around with it for a couple of days now. Things I like: 1) Light weight 2) Constant voltage 3) Simple package/design Things I dislike: 1) Lack of a physical on/off switch or constant indicator light 2) Turns off after 1hr...

    Captain Texas Anvil JKU build

Great build thread, just got through the whole thing. Lots of inspiration for my 2013 and great photography! I’m considering a similar lift and tire size, given all your experience with different track bar and stabilizer options, what would you finally recommend?

    Dometic PLB40 Reviews

Like others said there were really three reasons that at least on paper favored the Dometic for me: 1) Constant voltage 2) Can be charged from 12V — I think Yeti now has an adapter but see my last point 3) Less propriety / custom plugs — Yeti has their own solar plug, etc The 4th reason is not...

    Dometic PLB40 Reviews

I ordered one along with an ARB fridge from OK4WD. Should arrive on Tuesday. I’ll be sure to post some initial impressions. The light weight and the ability to change between vehicles quickly is what got me.

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

Thanks! I even got to meet John and chat for a bit at the Adventure Gear Fest this past weekend at Snowbird in Utah. Super nice guy. Sadly they only had their Ford model there and no Jeeps but fun to see and check out all the same.

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

Super informative thread, just finished going through all 140 pages over several days. After our camping trip this past weekend which involved sprinting to get a rain fly on and fighting with tent stakes in rocky soil, I just placed my order with Ursa Minor this morning! Now the long wait begins!
