    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

Sold! Pretty good price if you ask me! Hopefully the new buyer gets out of it better than I did. We sure put down good base work for'em :)

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

I've seen that before! That was totally my dream... I came across an International 4700 (?) 4x4 for ~$3,000. The front ends are very similar, so the front axle swap wouldn't have been to bad! I had just finished the exterior and was far too tired to get into the drivetrain. Realistically I'll...

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

Just like how some of the bigger ambulance owners have done... Oh yeah.... Still getting lots of interest almost daily! The bus could have easily sold by now, but I am being open and honest about all my experiences with the vehicle. I want to make sure the bus fits whatever lifestyle the new...

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

I drove the bus 400 miles this past weekend. The engine missed a couple times for the first time ever, so I came back and replaced the camshaft position sensor. I replaced it with the OEM International part from the dealer. Back to being ready to rip! Glad I got that taken care of before a...

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

I've had loads of interest! So exciting that people like the bus :) I updated the original post to include interior dimensions for anyone wishing to play around with their floor plan ideas.

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

For sure! Didn't get your message yet. Bumper to bumper is 26 ft. The height is around 10 ft 6" from floor to top of MaxxAir Fan. There's neither plumbing nor tanks. Watch the interior video for a good explanation of the interior. The tubs I speak of are insulated steel boxes that drop down...

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

Thanks! I've lowered the price a bit. I'm probably the world's most flexible seller in terms of video calls to show the truck, working out delivery, etc.. I just want to make sure the bus ends up with someone that will finish her up! Meanwhile - Taking the bus out on a weekend trip this weekend!

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

I’m selling my conversion bus project! My goal was a tour vehicle for work during the summer and a camping rig for every other season. Go through the photos of the build. We got a good basis down during the preliminary building phase of six full time weeks with six guys. After that, we took the...

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

We went through Mt Rainier, Yellowstone, Tetons, Jackson Hole, and now we're posted up in Eastern Wyoming after ~8,000 miles. We camped in National Forest Campgrounds each night except for the first night in Portland and after driving through the fires in Montana.

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

In Portland I found a leak in the driver side air bag. I ended up at a family owned truck shop and pitched in with the mechanic Robert. Both bags were replaced, front end tightened up, and everything greased. I later discovered the viscuous fan clutch is bad. This is why the truck had...

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

I just edited my post... The bus is in Seattle! I am not. I join in Portland when they head South on Monday. The boys went up there for a contest this weekend. Is that where you're based?

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

Here's an overview of the route so far. Obviously were loads of small stops along the way at skate parks, beaches, campsites, etc... I planned the return trip as vacation :) I fly to Portland on Wednesday to meet the bus/tour. On the following Monday my girlfriend meets up and we begin heading...

As the bus sits in Seattle WA! Can hardly believe she made it this far! The Garage - scooters, skateboards, awning, table, camping chairs, and generator.

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

I haven't shared the trip because it's mostly scootering. Here are some flicks from when I joined the trip in Los Angeles and San Diego. The view of Los Angeles from one of the spots we were scootering. Catching up with old friends in one of our customer's parking lots in San Diego...

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

That would make my life a lot easier, and I need that at this point... For some reason it just clicked that I will nix the shower. Thanks :) In other news, the guys had our first "break down" in Oakland CA. The batteries were dead after being parked for four days. The bus was moved each day to...

    2003 International 3800 Bus Conversion

Thanks! I'm not sure it was on a budget.. The cost blew me away. I was just along for the ride and committed to doing whatever I could in six weeks. I think most of the cost was rushing the project quickly. A motorized table would be really nice. I wish I could fabricate aluminum. That would've...

Ski Bum Truck V2.0, F450 Rough Road RV

For sure! Read through the trip report on your website and I'd like to go even more now! I haven't weighed yet. A lot! Haha... We had this summer tour planned, so the test drive was heading out across the country. The bus has done around 6,000 miles since July 2 and should end the trip at...
