As long as the center of gravity is still forward of the rear axle it works, but you will want to just remove your tailgate to protect it from dings and scrapes.
You will also lose some departure angle on the back end.
knobbytracks, did the wedge looking thing between your cab and cabover come with your camper or is it aftermarket?
I could really use that to help with wind deflection on my rig.
The cabover length is the same on both the 650 and 800, the floor length and center of gravity are different though.
With a crew cab you will be about 10" more than my extended cab, so the camper edge will be close to even with your cab roof line.
