    As long as the center of gravity is still forward of the rear axle it works, but you will want to just remove your tailgate to protect it from dings and scrapes. You will also lose some departure angle on the back end.

    knobbytracks, did the wedge looking thing between your cab and cabover come with your camper or is it aftermarket? I could really use that to help with wind deflection on my rig.

    I have one on my Northstar, and love it... that's where I keep my plates, cups and other dishes. The pivot point. The cabinet is attached to the roof, so as the top goes up the arm travels under the cabinet.

    I have a truck box mounted on a hitch haul, so it doubles as a porch. Then a basic 2 step stool gets me to the ground.
