    shouldbeasy's 'can't stop now' 2001 Toyota 4Runner build

Well, I snuck in another trip to BC this summer in the 4Runner but alas, the van runs and can move my dump trailer around so time for the 4Runner to move on... Never wanted to sell this rig and so this has been a delayed posting for quite some time. Driving the van offroad also gives me some...

    shouldbeasy's 'can't stop now' 2001 Toyota 4Runner build

Well, time has come to part with this rig - very disappointed but life has me using the van and my little pocket rocket (Fiesta ST) a lot more than the 4Runner and so, it's on the chopping block. I'll get a complete recap of what's been done and serviced since I last posted - a For Sale thread...

    Trasharoo alternatives

I just sent an email inquiry on your website - definitely looking to purchase when they're back in stock!

    Webasto fridge freezer

Damn! Do you think it was due to the conditions that the fridge operated under (high vibration specifically) that caused it to fail? Any thoughts on getting a different brand as a replacement?

shouldbeasy's 'home away from home' 2017 4x4 Sprinter build

Thanks! It's certainly a unique build... super happy with how it's progressing. Slow and steady.

That's a great picture too! That bridge made for a pretty good photo opportunity.

shouldbeasy's 'home away from home' 2017 4x4 Sprinter build

Thanks! I had a blast being out on the trails in the van for the first time and it held its own. I just need to keep in mind the limitations it has (open center differential, open front and rears too) and there is a bit less hunting for the perfect line as it's so big you just kinda have to take...

shouldbeasy's 'home away from home' 2017 4x4 Sprinter build

Yep, it's their Dodge option - the supplied hoses aren't long enough to properly mount the filler neck on the side of the van.

shouldbeasy's 'home away from home' 2017 4x4 Sprinter build

Some pictures of my yellow fog light set up - I FINALLY got them to work but holy crap, never change the bulbs to anything but stock. The circuit detects a different line resistance and simply won't work. I had to cut the stock bulbs apart (used my cut off wheel and destroyed the socket until I...

shouldbeasy's 'home away from home' 2017 4x4 Sprinter build

And so, off I went to the boat motor mount - using another piece of aluminum as a backing plate I drilled some more speed holes and then fitted a square piece at the top for support. Unfortunately the first one was too wide (3") and so I had to drill new holes and move the mounts over to...

shouldbeasy's 'home away from home' 2017 4x4 Sprinter build

Next on my hit list was the boat motor mount and in turn a new place for the MaxTrax - I figured the driver side of the vehicle was bare enough that the ladders could go there as the boat motors HAD to go on the rear swing out, I couldn't think of anywhere else to put them. All in all I'm happy...

shouldbeasy's 'home away from home' 2017 4x4 Sprinter build

Well, I hate doing write ups on items which are half finished which is why this update took so long (that and I've prioritized my energy to other efforts and not forum posts lately...) but alas, here is my auxiliary tank write up which will hopefully help someone in the future. Certainly not a...

shouldbeasy's 'home away from home' 2017 4x4 Sprinter build

Thanks for the kind words! It's a huge project and is taking a lot of time to get it sorted... Slow and steady! The big yellow lights are amazing for night driving on back roads - flick on the high beams and it's daylight! I considered blue filters but fell in love with the look of the yellow...

Got the front light set up mounted up! Factory55 Flatlink for the Warn Zeon 10S Winch and Synthetic Line Maxtrax Mounted on the rear cargo box - used a 3/8" piece of aluminum to mount it them using the Maxtrax pegs - grabbed some locks and they're secure. I might add a couple backing...
