    Pro-Link Factor 55

I can't quantify other than to say that the bright colors fade most notably (esp. Red). This, I believe, is common for anodized aluminum. They also had a gun-metal gray which had a thicker coating and thus resisted chipping better. This info came from Factor 55 (Mike) at the Expo. I chose...

    Pro-Link Factor 55

Pro-Link Review I have a Pro-Link and had time to talk with one of the designers at the Expo. Is it necessary, no. Is is a well designed, smart solution to simplify rigging and storage of my rigging equipment? I say yes. Advantages in my opinion: - Reduced damage to rollers/fairlead -...

    Headlight Replacement

Both of my Trucklite prototype lamps failed (high beams) and where quickly replaced at no cost with over night shipping with production units. Since I have driven from GA to AZ running the lights the whole way. I also did easily a 120 miles of washboard roads and 40+ mph and have seen no...

I'll swap them this weekend. HIDs are run off their own circuit. I'll let you know what I find.

    TruckLite's Newest LED headlights

Th lights are pretty awesome but as Stumpy mentioned I have a passenger high beam that's out. Didn't have time to check it before heading out town. If I remember correctly there's only two relays on the Rallylights aftermarket harness. I'll swap the lights when I am back this weekend and see...

    Rubicon Bent Axle

In an attempt to get this thread back on topic.... I think I am going to replace the axle (rather pay someone to do it) and then take the original to get throughly checked out. If it turns out that its in spec, I sure someone will want it. This way I have piece of mind and an awesome axle...

    Rubicon Bent Axle

Is that you Dave? I have done so much to the Jeep I suspect it not worth the hassle. Then there's the fact the are going to put the same part in. Assuming it is really bent, I don't mind upgrading. I understood when I started wheeling it things would break. I was just surprised by this one...

    Rubicon Bent Axle

My time is typically worth more to me with my family than under my Jeep. Sorry you don't understand.

    Rubicon Bent Axle

Southern Offroad informed me of the situation. The Jeep was there for sleeves and gussets as well as new gears. I mentioned there was some front-end shake and thought the tires might need to be rebalanced. They decided to throw it on the alignment rack before they did anything (citing it...

    Rubicon Bent Axle

Talking with the guys from Dynatrac, their ProRock 44 business was started and grew due to the high failure rate of the tubes. I was even told the tube thickness is not uniform, that it actual tapers down. Seems hard to believe but here I sit with a bend one. As for the trailer, I see this as...

    Rubicon Bent Axle

I'm praying the rear holds as my wife is wondering why Jeep's cost so much. :Wow1:

    Rubicon Bent Axle

35" still can't believe I bent it. I assume I hit a deep hole to hard, who knows.

    Rubicon Bent Axle

Took the Jeep to get new gears and axle sleeves only to find out the axle is already bent. Being new and fairly conservative with my wheeling, I can only assume my inexperience and/or poor drive contributed to the situation. So instead of a new camping trailer I'm getting a new Dynatrac...

    upgrade Sport or Rubicon?

If you do wheel be aware that the Rubicon is not bullet proof. I am not a hardcore rock crawler but I did bend my front Dana 44. My solution is to replace with a more substantial axle. Granted I will be reusing all the internals but it hurts to have to replace Rubicon parts...all part of...

    Do Jeeps have feelings?

I have a stock JK battery sitting in the storage unit if you need it Swiss. Was it the Jeep for a couple thousand miles. You should have told the Jeep you were upgrading her, not returning her!
