Exped MegaMat Adapter for Air Compressor?

Maybe something like this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S6K6RZ5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_N1o-FbAF0ATKA Have not tried it myself. I ran though a similar exercisebut then realized that most pumps for inflatables are high volume/low pressure and compressors are low volume/high pressure. I sort...

    Outback as backroad camp vehicle?

The only big issues I've had with my lifted 2.5i OB is long rutted uphill climbs. You have to relearn how to off-road compared to other 4wd vehicles; momentum is your friend and you'll learn when your CVT needs a rear. More driver skill is involved because you can't really power through...

    Seriously??

My mother-in-law was telling me about how some people have their yeti cups bedazzled as a symbol of social status. It's like the 2000's pimp cup of the upper class south! Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Curious what the "best" Subaru, new or old, for an overland build.

Our last overlanding trip had a nice combination of SH and SG's. Both have done the Mojave Road. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Curious what the "best" Subaru, new or old, for an overland build.

I'm jealous of what the community had been doing with the Forester SG's. They seem super reliable and have 5MT and 4eat options. Getting rear lockers seems just around the horizon. Having the option to go long travel is rad. Which minimal modifications they're pretty capable and have plenty of...

    WaterPORT Shower System Review

I use mine frequently (surfing before work) and the only thing that has gone out on it is the manual pump. I have a cheapo 12v air compressor that I use only for the waterport that does the job. It's the perfect size to carry around without being cumbersome. Would also recommend. Sent from my...

Subaru owners: Let's see your expedition rigs!

I have a 2.5i and I drive pretty aggressive. With a loft, oversized ATs and Methods I get like 26-28mpg. Roof rack drops me to around 22 mpg. Off-roading around southern California with everything I get 18-20 mpg. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Tent Bed Options for Sleeping Together

Yeah I kind of wished I went with the Tango Down instead of the MASSIVE Big Agnes Dream Island 15. The exped megamat duo is no joke. We also use it when guests stay the night and they also make that same comment. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Lets talk about camp lights

I installed some super warm amber LEDs lights on the underside for when I need to fiddle with my camera or to make sure I don't step on anything when I get out to to pee when I sleep in my car. I have to stress that they're not rock lights or ground FX lights...they're my camp lights. Sent...

Nice! Yeah I had one of those from tractor supply. None of my heat sources could get it seering hot unfortunately. It does make a great fire pit for the desert! Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    DIY Discada "Skottle" Cooker $65.00

Great DIY! I use mine both at home and while camping. I either use a my backpacking stove or throw the thing on my propane fire pit. I've made pizza, Vietnamese short ribs, dolsas, pancakes, pork chops, flat breads, french fries among many things. Since I use it a lot, it's getting pretty well...

    One-burner propane stove?

I sometimes use a plate heat diffuser on my backpacking pressure cooker when I make things like rice to make sure it doesn't burn the crap out of the bottom of it. Yeah...I like cooking outside. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Tent Bed Options for Sleeping Together

Will vouch for the megamat duo. It has been the best solution yet. We used to have one of those ALPS brand low profile air mats that works for most seasons, but the lack of insulation made winter camping miserable. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Best packable duvet/comforter?

I bought a Yeti Duvet (it's some EU company, not the coolers) and it's pretty good. One of the only camping down duvets I found that was sub $180 at the time. Took a while to find something in that range.
