    Does anyone drive a LJ77?

if its an LJ77 it should have a 3L naturally aspirated engine. The 3L is quite reliable but very very slow and you won't be doing any towing. If it's an LJ78 then it should have a 2LTE and they are slow and have a tendency to grenade. These are both light duty models in the Land Cruiser line up...

Cool sighting in Moab this AM; BJ75?

There are lots of BJ75's in truck and troop carrier format. Theres a guy that lives 5 minutes away from me with one and it makes my HZJ77 pre turbo seem like a rocket. Most went to LHD countries while Australia got HJ75's. Based on it being RHD, has a diesel badge, and is white I'd suspect its...

    79 series dual cab build

hate to burst your bubble but the dual cab started in 2007, not 1997, and in the USA you have to wait 25 years past the manufactory date. In 2032 you can bring one in.

The best expedition car for me - TLC 76

Good stuff. Its unfortunate but its impossible to have the perfect rig. In my eyes perfection would be a cross between ours and an 80 series. Wider axles but same body, coils all the way round, 1HD-FT motor, 5 speed manual and full time four wheel. How are you liking its set up so far? I found...

Advice Wanted! Dual Battery/Solar Set Up

I too suggest you change your batteries. Not to a specific brand but to AGM. You will want a sealed battery if its stored inside your vehicle as the off gassing from conventional batteries is deadly stuff. I'm building a similar system and will be using a small pure sine wave inverter. Doesn't...

    FJ45 pickup for sale

If it was kept stock I'd say it'd be a museum piece but this is a resto mod built into a driver. Was not aware that green was offered in 1965, was the paint colour changed for any particular reason?

    Securing storage drawers?

you can also drill a small hole in the end of the thread and feed a piece of wire into it tying it off. I certainly can't see how it'll rotate this way and it'll still be easy to remove if needed

    Securing storage drawers?

Buy new good turnbuckles with jam nuts. one side of a turn buckle has reverse thread so adding a nut to that side is tricky if it doesn't already have one(unless you have access to reverse thread nuts)

The best expedition car for me - TLC 76

in 1996 there was the KZJ76, which is the light duty version of the Land Cruiser with smaller diffs, light duty transmission and coil suspension. The heavy duty version is the HZJ77 that features leaf springs, larger diffs, and tough transmission. It then became the HZJ76 in later years. LJ78...
