Some good press for the Fronty

I never got close to it when my pro4x frontier was stock.. I wonder how much of a hit you take with the factory roof rack..

Some good press for the Fronty

Yeah, I looked that up after I made my post. I still lament :P

Some good press for the Fronty

I have never even gotten close to 22mpg driving highway speeds of 70-75mph. My numbers are 11-14 mpg city and 14-16.5 highway.

Tablet or Garmin, what's your poison?

What receiver did you buy, and do you know if it will work with iPad? I'm looking for one for my wifi only iPad, but don't see the need to spend $100 on one if there are $20-30 alternatives.

    Pro 4x Frontier Roof Capacity

Yes, what's funny? I wasn't being smart, my reply was in response to Burton... just making sure that the OP, and anyone else who might read this, is clear that the ratings for the frontier and xterra roof racks are not the same.

    Pro 4x Frontier Roof Capacity

The weight limit is not 150lb. It says 125 evenly distributed in the Frontier manual. https://owners.nissanusa.com/content/techpub/ManualsAndGuides/Frontier/2016/2016-Frontier-owner-manual.pdf Section 2-47

    Pro 4x Frontier Roof Capacity

The cross bars are the weak point of the rack. I believe they are rated at only 125lbs of evenly distributed weight. Unfortunately, I don't think you will find any official statement specifically related to the weight capacity of the main bars. It's hard to say if Nissan is limiting weight due...

Old Man Emu lift and tire combos?

A lot of people do remove the mud flaps, either because they think the truck looks better without them, or the flaps interfere with the type of wheeling they do. When properly trimmed, the flaps are no longer an issue as far as tire clearances. My front tires now rub the wheel liners on...

Old Man Emu lift and tire combos?

What amount of lift do you gain with that kit. I have 2in up front and 1.5 in rear. I run 285/75/16 Duratracs. I have my camber/caster bolts set for maximum caster and neg camber. Even set at max, I still had to trim my mud flaps, which helped with rubbing, but I still have a little in certain...

    Advice On BT GPS Receivers

Same here, i'll snatch up a refurb if I see it. I do like that the Garmin can connect with more then one device, other than that, and battery life, it seems to be a wash.

    Advice On BT GPS Receivers

I'm looking for some advice for BT GPS receivers. I have an old iPad 2 (non-wifi) that gets little use, and am looking to use it with MotionX for my backcountry traveling. I don't need anything fancy, just something that works well. I'm currently considering the Dual XGPS150A and the Garmin GLO

    JKU Tire Opinions?

If you're going to be in mud much, and still sticking with an AT tire, i'd go with the duratracs. I recently changed to 285/75/16 Duratracs, and am very happy with their off road performance so far. Though it does take a bit of wheel spin to clear them, they do not clog up nearly as much as say...

I just need to boil water for coffee, what stove?

I have the Jetboil MiniMo and really like it. Being able to simmer, and i mean as well or better than my home stove, really is nice. If you do a lot of camping like i do, you know that it's really easy to burn food to the bottom of your pot/pan with all the rocket/non-adjustable stoves out...

2011 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x Build

Great build, and looks like you've already gotten some moneys worth out of all that armor. I would have gone with a 33in tire, however. Hope you get years of enjoyment out of it.

    Nissan Photos - post your's

New here, and just getting started. I've been piecing together forest roads and trails and having a great time figuring out how to get from point A to point B with the least asphalt possible. Lots of awesome truck in this thread. Was going to post some of mine, but I am apparently not allowed to...
