    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

I have been in contact with Archive Garage. Hoping to get a set also. Think I'll do hangers and shackles. I was told as soon as July could be a start on production sets, if testing goes well.

    seanpistol's 01 Tundra

I wish I could have stayed another day to wheel hells with you guys. I'm going to order a Shackle Flip and extended shackle this week, looks like a great setup.

    2004 Tundra Adventure Cab - Build/Adventure Thread

My 255s rub the frame at lock/stuff. I had to add wheel spacers to clear there. I was able to adjust the cab rubbing out by adjusting caster on my upper and lower arms. I have SPC uppers to dial in caster and camber. The best way to check for this is to cycle the suspension without the coil-over in.

Looking for real world 255/80/17 Cooper STT MAX Reviews For 1st gen Tundra DC

I just gave my truck away for the weekend. It is at Insain Fab fitting a bed rack and rock sliders while I build his differentials. I have some bad pics on my build thread..... https://www.tundras.com/threads/2006-4door-fatkid-style.5009/ I didn't get too much snow under these tires this year...

Looking for real world 255/80/17 Cooper STT MAX Reviews For 1st gen Tundra DC

I run the STMaxx on my 2006 4door Tundra. I run the 255/85r16 that is, for the most part, the same tire. Snow traction is really good. They are load range E, very stiff tire. I have not tried any speed correction yet. I'm also running the Boss lift from Toytec, out of the box with the 650lbs...

    2004 Tundra Adventure Cab - Build/Adventure Thread

I'm going with my Tundra. Though, my build is just starting. I'll only have lift, tires, sliders and a bed rack by the time the event rolls around. Eventually my Tundra will match/surpass my Tacoma build. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/a-fatkid-build.337885/

    2004 Tundra Adventure Cab - Build/Adventure Thread

RT is the 1st weekend in June. Sounds like there will be a bunch of Tundras there this year.

    Flyer's '02 Tundra adventure build

I have run the KM2s on my Tacoma I just sold and currently on my 2004 4runner. They make noise like a mud tire should and look the part. My 2006 Tundra I decided to go with the STMaxx in a 255/85r16. They don't make anywhere the amount of noise that the KM2s put out. Wet road traction feels...

QuadsBC's 05 Double Cab Tundra Family Expo Build

I didn't notice too much difference in other vehicles. I have only had the Tundra a month and it has not left the Denver Metro area yet. My 1996 4runner mileage didn't change on trips to Kansas, Utah, New Mexico or Arizona.

QuadsBC's 05 Double Cab Tundra Family Expo Build

How did the high clearance trimming effect the bedsides? Did they get floppy/loose? Do you think you need to add any bracing to the inside of the bed? I have not had a chance to run my new 2006 Tundra with the tent. Current mileage with just lift and tires is 17.2mpg corrected with mixed...

TundraBirds Go! Picture Thread for Tundras and T-100s

That front brake line! :Wow1: I'm guessing you know that already though.

    A Different Type of Build

I use a product called Rat Away. It works well on Colorado rodents. It seems to keep repeat offender customers away.

Capture Colorado 01 TRD Taco - GOAE build

Swapping cabs is not difficult at all. The most difficult part is having enough man-power to lift the cab over the engine. The wiring and interior should take 5-6 hours tops. With a donor cab you still are left with the bed damage. The frame could be straightened if there are no creases, that...

The First Gen Pickup/Hilux (79-83) Thread

Because the suspension is about the same, use the part numbers off of the 84-85 pickup/hilux. That is what I used. The rear springs are the only issue, too stiff unloaded.

The First Gen Pickup/Hilux (79-83) Thread

$250 is expensive. I was looking for a tire in the 33x9.5 range. I might be stuck going with 255s. I didn't really want 16" wheels though.

The First Gen Pickup/Hilux (79-83) Thread

Here is a basic side shot of the current lift. The OME kit sits closer to 3". Without any load it is kinda stiff. Flex is average for any non "rockcrawler" suspension. This trucks is an all-around truck so I don't need flex. It has some sleeper mods to help it get over stuff without flex...

The First Gen Pickup/Hilux (79-83) Thread

That is an older picture, so it would be 2" OME front springs and worn out rears with add-a-leafs. I recently replaced the rear springs with new OME springs to complete a full OME system. I run 32x11.5x15 BFG KM muds. I'm looking at going to a 33x10.5 or stepping up wheel size and going with a...

The First Gen Pickup/Hilux (79-83) Thread

On that note, I'll whore mine out again. It is a standard topper that fits the 89-95 pickup and the 1st gen Tacoma, short bed model. It could use some fabric work on the back to match the tailgate better. (note the spring clamps holding mine for now)

3rd gen 4runner lift and tire combo (pics request)

My 4runner with about 2" of OME suspension. 255/85r16 BFG muds, no contact with fenders or frame. Edit: I say no contact but I forgot I had to clearance for the 285s I ran previously. I think they would still clear ok.
