M416 Build to go behind my CJ

I actually use shore power whenever I can but I also have solar. I went the “road less traveled” as always. I saw too many folding setups disappear when camping and hiking and owner not around. On top of that the folding ones are fairly expensive. I tend to be cheap so I bought one residential...

M416 Build to go behind my CJ

Glad to hear from you and picture of the trailer and all the work is great. I have always had to be careful of weight distribution on mine. A few times that I loaded too much weight south of the axle the trailer would start swaying badly or the front would raise too much on larger bumps. My...

M416 Build to go behind my CJ

The folks that used to own the trailer company in AZ sold an adjustable bracket set that went on two corners and raised as needed. I believe it was was on trailer lid hinge side. Cannot find a picture but easy & clever design.

    Propex HS2000

Just thought I would add my 2 cents on propex. My setup is a 2211 that I side on top of my trailer top and pipes into my rooftop tent. I had the issue of the unit cycling on then going off and getting a code. Also it would cyle on and then in a minute go off. I would run diagnostics reset code...

M416 Build to go behind my CJ

This will be a long post since I have not posted since about 2014. For those that may remember I bought the M416 in 2010 and it was rough. My son and I started slowly and quickly found out how big a project we were starting. By 2014 we were pretty much finished, or so we thought. The pics...

    M416 Lid Construction Questions

Did you get it fabricated and what type of hinges did you use?

    My little M416, finished tonight.

Looks great. As I always post "it is not an overland M416 until the HF box goes on"

    M416 lid build

Very nice lid and probably way lighter than mine. Had mine a few years and still works great. I like how struts were mounted.

    M416 reconditioning to Army Specs.

No, time to touch it up and get it "off the road" again. Glad you are doing better.

    Dory's Companion

Since you already own a Jeep you should be used to a constant throwing of money at a vehicle with endless mods on your list! Now just multiply that by 2 and you have a trailer budget. LOL Still not finished with my Jeep or trailer. Mine is a CJ and an M416 but same pit! Keep us updated on...

    another M416 build

I kept the front drop down leg. Grabbed a piece of thick steel, drilled a series of double holes and can adjust it a few inches up or down depending if it is behind Jeep, Taco, or Highlander (and now a Dodge minivan----don't ask!!!!). I like the old dropdown leg.

    New RTT mattress

So a question for you guys that have the new mattress. We are heading to CO in September and will be in the tent for about 12 days with a hotel night about once. My SO likes a really soft bed (no idea what is wrong with her!!) and of course I am the opposite. I am thinking maybe this mattress...

    M416 measurements

I agree with the comment on extending it. After about 3-4 years with the original, I am thinking of doing the same this winter.

Tom can verify but if I am not mistaken that is a Front Runner grill.

    New RTT mattress

Man that is a lot for shipping. I am afraid TX would be the same or more. May have to rethink this after all of the problems. I was thinking the same as spressoman. I bought a lid for my M416 from Chris at Sierra Trailers. A fine product but poor business model that looks like it just put...

Jeep Livin Lite Extreme Trailer EXPO upgrades

Hi Tom: I like the meter you used. Where did you get it if you do not mind me asking? Did you make it out to OX16 this year? We did not. I retired and Seth is house shopping so we stayed at home for the first time in 6 years. See ya!
