Montero Sport transmission issues, looking for advice.

I've had transmission issues since I bought this truck 4 years ago. Initially it would slip into neutral if I went above 4k rpms in 2nd gear along with other random shift issues, difficultly going into reverse, especially when it was cold, etc. I bought Mitsubishi SP3 fluid and did a full flush...

Testing the Freewheel Clutch Switch (Mitsubishi)

BACKGROUND: Ever since I picked up my Montero Sport 3 years ago, I have had the flashing 4wd light and occasional ABS light. I never worried about it because my 4WD system and brakes both worked. However, I am now ready to finally fix the flashing lights. Here is what my lights do. In 2wd, the...

I ordered a new front output shaft seal (Timken part #223608) and 3 quarts of Redline MT-90 fluid. I changed it out this week and everything seemed to go well. Yesterday I drove the truck to...

    2m or dual band?

I'm new to ham and am trying to decide if I need a dual band or if 2m would be more then enough for my needs. My goal is having communication in the event of unforeseen situations out on remote trails. I don't plan on hanging out on the radio for fun, or getting far into the hobby side of it...

    Outdooraholic's Montero Sport Adventure/Build thread

I guess I'll go ahead and start this. I bought this 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport in 2013 for $1,750. I needed something cheap just to pull a car on a dolly as I was racing my 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse in a Rallyx series out in Tucson, AZ. I spent a week freshening it up (timing belt, water pump...

How to attach cargo netting inside cabin

I just ordered some bungee cord cargo netting to install over the interior side of the rear windows on my rig to make some more storage areas. My question is what would you recommend I use as fasteners to attach the netting to the vehicle itself. I have no concerns drilling holes. Thanks!
