    Spacekap Diablo 6 Build

that is what i went with, elevated platform in the Nose. After cutting the lip, no insulation under the mattress and only 1 inch of insulation in the ceilling of the cabover, i found it was actually not bad in there but it s definitily not as much clearance as a normal truck camper. I find the...

    Spacekap Diablo 6 Build

Mine is 66 inches at the cabover (1.5’’ insulation each side) but i cut the ‘’retaining wall’’ and gained about 3.5’’ inch of height. So my bed slide out from the cabover and end up been a nice 75’’X68’’ so bigger then a short queen and still have about 24’’ of head room above the mattress

    DIY Composite Flatbed Camper Build

One element i can vouch for having seen so many of those around….they are STRONG. That company produce so many medical mobile unit for the oil field and construction company in northern BC and Alberta. Northern Lite 610 for 1/2 Ton PU

You mention good point, dimension will be different. That should not influence the weight much tho. But a basement will for sure. So is solar. the old version came with stove, fridge 3 way, sink, one tank only (no grey tank) , manual vent, jacks. So for sure, the new version will be pimp up...

Northern Lite 610 for 1/2 Ton PU

You can be sceptical but many of us, me included owned one and weighted them. Mine was under 700lbs empty and 900lbs loaded. So…those weight are real.

Northern Lite 610 for 1/2 Ton PU

We are comparing to our full built out camper 610 from the 90s…. It was never sold as a shell only. It was always sold as a full camper With bed and sink and heater and fridge etc. So a fully build 90s 610 was 700lbs territory’ and now they are taking of a 610 in the 1500lbs territories 30 years...

Northern Lite 610 for 1/2 Ton PU

It s strand shotted from an air gun. There is a video on YouTube that show the build progress. First is gel coat apply to the mold, then strand fiberglass shoot from a gun while another guy roll it tight and compact. It s very thin…. As very little regidity and when it come out of the mold… it s...

Northern Lite 610 for 1/2 Ton PU

a spacekap is a completely different construction vs a northern lite. a space kap is a 1/8+ thick or more fiberglass rigid shell. all the strengh and integrity of the shell is based on the thickness and shape of a single skin. The northern lite is an extremely thin outer layer...and the...

Northern Lite 610 for 1/2 Ton PU

same with mine, the sticker had it at 680lbs and when i measured at the scale... it was a little more in near 850lbs but i had water and gear in it. it was such a great little unit and the f150 didn't even feel it. It's very hard to understand how NL is coming with a 1500lbs 610. It's a none...

Northern Lite 610 for 1/2 Ton PU

my northern lite 6-10 was about 750lbs and it included the normal stuff...fully build, hot water, fridge, but no toilet. it was a masterpeice of smart design and lightweight. For northern lite to come in 2023 and propose a 1500lbs 610 make me wonder what went wrong. we have so much technology...

    Armorlite EXP-1

the extrusion are aluminum and go from outside to inside so there is termal bridging at every screw you see inside...about every 9 inches. i m not sure if this is ''best in the industrie'' but it s a design used by CPT in kelowna that make the same boxes for medical treatement units. You can by...

New kid on the block! AWD Transit with composite camper AEONrv

i share many of the same experience as you...sitting at the front in cold winter camping in banff, i can feel the cold from wherewhere. that is a time of the year where you need to close up the front...there is no other way around. But there is another 8-9months in the year were this isnt a...

New kid on the block! AWD Transit with composite camper AEONrv

this is a hard one for a small unit like a Transit. Having the 2 front seat swivelling create such a bigger lounging room in already very small unit. To cut it off and put a door make things a lot smaller. I would think we are only 1 ''super curtain'' away from having the best of both...

New kid on the block! AWD Transit with composite camper AEONrv

it s definitly leaf spring and rated for around 9500-9900lbs. not sure of the break down on this unit tho?! But this transit platform can be made for a rating of up to 11200lbs so decent payload in transit.

Wilderness Vans - GRID chassis cab

it all depend on the insulation technic used. It would be very easy to insulate well with foamboard and make sure there is zero thermal bridging and you end up with a amazing 4 season unit. This company is in lethbridge alberta.... it get brutal cold winter... my gut tell me this thing is well...
