I looked at the 2.7 and it wasnt up to par for actual hauling and pulling. I rented and tested it for a week and ended up with the 3.5 as it had more balls. I tow even heavier now and needed the higher payload capacity to stay within the laws limits, so I have the 6.7. Once you step up to...

Ill be honest and say I wasted some space but by the design of it, I think I captured enough useable room for my trips. Some of my items go into the support trailer when traveling.

I don't really have any updates but I am looking forward to bring this setup out in the cold for deer hunting in a couple weeks. We have only spent one night inside it, and it stayed very warm with the heater. I will post some more pictures once we get over to Louisiana.

Deff avoid going with the 2.7L as it wont have enough power to get you anywhere on the inclines. I would stick with a v8 or 3.5L ecoboost as the turbos give you better power. As mentioned if you keep the shelter light you shouldn't have issues.

Honestly I haven't weighed it yet but while jacking it up I could tell my jacks were struggling a little more. I still think I'm sub 2k but my F250 doesn't notice the extra weight much. I also didn't skimp out on materials. If you stick to 1/8" paneling and light material, you can keep the...

Well, A LOT has gotten done. Took it out to camp for a night with the kids and had a great time. Couple items to fix but so far so good! I need to finish some cushions and some trim pieces but overall I'm very happy with how it looks. I still need to put the vinyl on it for the name.

The Grand Terrainer: 2017+ Ford F-250 and SpaceKap Diablo 8'

Yours looks great, nice and clean. You’re right that the area is tight in the top space. I made mine accommodate a queen up top with a section that slides into place. I can fit up there but it’s tight. Great spot for a couple kiddos though!

    Another Spacekap Build

Looking like a great start! I’m getting close to the end of my build. The wood tongue and groove walls added a lot of weight to mine, but it’s sitting on a 12’ F250. Will give this a follow!

One thing I will lack on the truck is a space for storage and a potential shower. Well, I bought a small trailer and converted it to have a heated shower via propane and solar power for the pump and plenty of storage. This will house our "stuff" and also a spare for the truck since I can't fit...

I then continued with the paneling, 12v cooler sliding storage, trim and then the painting.

Some more updates since it's been a while. I sanded and patched then rhinolined the bottom. It turned out a lot better than I anticipated.

The main structure has Pelsue at the top in vinyl with SpaceKap Plus on the side. Seems to me it was built by SpaceKap and outfitted by Pelsue.
