2012 Tundra Build - The Occupational Hazard

Yet another slight change of plans. I semi-impulsively quit my job in NY in August and moved to southern NH in September. I was tired of the taxes and gun laws, and I was unimpressed with Emperor Cuomo's response to the scamedemic. I've been working a bunch since fall, and haven't done...

Just don't park it in front of anything you care about, in case they think they've found 1st.

2012 Tundra Build - The Occupational Hazard

I've been working a bunch and not spending a bunch of time on here. Ziebart ended up writing me a small-ish check. It was not enough to get the bed professionally fixed, but it was something. I won't do business with them again, but they did something to make it right. About a year go, I...

    (Sold) 2000 Ford F-250 Diesel 4x4 w/ Flatbed & New Transmission

Maybe? But possibly not. People pay crazy money for 7.3s and with the new tranny, flatbed and toolboxes, you probably aren't far off. Mileage is up there, but it's a pre-emissions diesel so it's not that high. It might be worth talking about what's been done on the engine. Injectors, etc...

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

It's only the wrong thread if you don't buy it, and it doesn't become YOUR van as the thread title says. You should go look at it.

2012 Tundra Build - The Occupational Hazard

I also had the truck Ziebarted when I bought it less than three years after it's original in-service date with 24k on it. I spoke with Ziebart and unsurprisingly, they haven't gotten back to me. I think I'll visit them again and see what the manager he had to "check with" has to say.

2012 Tundra Build - The Occupational Hazard

Maybe? There's a cross brace spot welded onto the bottom of the bed that the bed bolts go through. There's a TSB for 07 through 11 to replace the bed if the 60 month corrosion warranty is still in effect. It looks like through 11, they had a polymer sealant on the bottom of the bed that...

2012 Tundra Build - The Occupational Hazard

So I found out last week that the bed is trying to rot off the truck. Thanks for a bed design that's questionable at best, Toyota. And I'm about 18 months beyond the 60 month corrosion warranty, so Toyota corporate has already told me to go screw. My solution to this is going to be epic...

Tire review for the big boys, falken at3w on f250

I have these in LT285/70R17 on my Tundra. As long as they're making them, I'll probably never buy anything else.

    Requesting quiet....

Might be worth confirming that you don't have an exhaust leak or something. I spent more hours than I care to think about sitting a few feet from a 6.6 duramax in various 07 3500 vans and overall found them to be pretty quiet, even when they got up over 200k miles.

    Old's Cool

I'd regear it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think going to a smaller wheel/tire would actually make it worse. Whatever you choose to do, how long are you going to have to own to recoup the cost of whatever change you make at an increase of 2-3MPG? Looks like an awesome little truck. I'd drive it...

    Bed Liner Confusion

Avoid Herculiner, a DIY roll on product. I've used it and have nothing nice to say about it. It's also not cheap.
