    Cummins 2.8 Swap

I contacted cummins about a crate 2.8 for my Wrangler and this was thier response; "Thank you for contacting Cummins. The resolution to your inquiry, - Will the R2.8 be street legal for my 2005 Wrangler Unlimited in the future?, is as follows: As of right now, it is for 1999 and older. We...

Why don't we see more Ford Ranger builds

With gas prices rising and with expedition rigs being used for exploring the back country and not being trailer queens. I've been considering something that can go a little further than my Tacoma or Wrangler on a tank of fuel. Why don't we see more eco boost ranger builds in this group? It...

Jeep JLU roll cage strong enough?

I ve rolled a 1997 TJ and a 1995 YJ both on the highway. The TJ was taken out by black ice The YJ met an untimely demise via Subaru Outback making a left in front of me. Roll cage and seat belts and no injuries both times. I would trust a new jeeps roll cage in both of my accidents.

    GAS MILAGE

Jim, As someone who has bounced between CO and PA for the past 20+ years. I always get my worst mileage in PA, the roads don't flow and too many hills lol. I feel like youo be able to get better MPGs when road tripping out of state. I reccomend a test drive to Moab.

Better late than never 2005 LJ build.

sometimes I am tempted to sell the LJ and the Tacoma and downsize to either a diesel JLU or 2.0 Rubicon! Even considered the diesel gladiator as well. But there is something magic about the old LJ ?

Better late than never 2005 LJ build.

Here is a little bit of an update. a tree fell on my Tacoma last week driving to work so the LJ has kicked up DD duties. the old BFG KO's were tired and I was experiencing some death wobble so I decided it was time for new tires and I put a set of 33/10.5/15's under it. I ve been experiencing...

2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 3.0L EcoDiesel

I am willing to travel for the right deal. Most Jeep's in that price range were around 200 miles away. Also, I am searching strictly by diesel option and willing to buy a basic sport with a soft top with the diesel package. Seems like even basic the new Jeep's have more bells and whistles than...

2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 3.0L EcoDiesel

A tree fell on my tacoma this week, which has led to me searching autotrader looking at diesel wranglers. I have found quite a few diesels with cold weather and tow packages with a few other bell and whistles that my Taco didn't have for $43-44k. A few diesel gladiators around $47k Not gonna...

    JKU Suspension dilemma

Honestly, my YJ was my favorite Jeep. BDS front 3" lift springs all four corners, rode great, handled great, was quiet, and flexed good enough. I miss that jeep lol. I have OME on the TJU and its pretty good. I ll most likely swap out to the OME HD springs in the rear. Look forward to...

    255/75/17 vs 285/70/17 KO2s on 5th Gen 4R w/ 2" OME

Love skinnies. They work great in most any terrain. These are 235/85/16's on my truck, essentially a 32/9.5/16 I really liked the size. I would love to run 255/85/16's but it seems like there are limited options for tires in that size. On my Jeep's I ran 33/10.5/15's and never missed the 12.5...

25K miles on KO2 before I gave up

I jumped ship from KO2's this year and switched to the Falken Wildpeak AT3. BFG KO2's were great on everything but wet pavement for starting out. In light rain merging on to highway my Taco would fishtail with just a little extra throttle, starting out on hills or stop signs I would just sit...

Might be getting a TJ, what to look for.

I ve been thinking about going with the 255/80/17's since there seem to be more AT's in that size rather than the 255/85/16's which tires are you running? I was going to just get 33/10.5/15 BFG KO2's but I think you are right about the BFG KO2and death wobble, and it doesn't seem like too many...

I cant decide on tires. Kenda RT, Wildpeaks, ATIIIs - GX470, 255/80 vs 285/70 vs 33x10.5

Not sure if this helps. I went from 235/85/16 BFG KO2 to 265/75/16 Falken Wildpeak AT3. I love the skinny look of my old tires, but so far for daily driving on wet and snowy pavement I am really digging the Falkens, I wish they made them in a 33/10.5/15 for my Jeep so I didn't have to buy a...
