    is 4x4wire gone?

i am pleased to see interest in restoring a version of 4x4wire. it was a comfortable place to blather about my projects, and follow other's, plus i met "fellow enthusiasts". i have no clue how forums get paid for- never gave $ to this one- but it may have been funded entirely by j stewart at the...

    Front Mechanical Locker Experiences?

i have been running a front autolocker for two seasons. mostly my strategy has been to lock my hubs and let it pull. it loads up the steering pretty good- wants to go straight, and can kinda lock up in some reversing situations. not good in tight turns, it can be unlocked either side, but i can...

    2019 Sierra Carnage

i took few pictures, and have little talent for it. this is probably after thompson hill(ershim side of the dusy-ershim), but before i broke suzi's front axle. . not much of an action shot- just me wondering how to pass something montypower was crawling over..... i did a lot of wondering...

    2019 Sierra Carnage

a fine high sierra experience. I only experienced the dusy-ershim, as carnage on the trail left suzi on 3 wheels. moved to wentworth springs for the launch onto the rubicon, but elected not to run. fished my way out of the mountains, then ran home. rest of the crew made the rubie- apparently...

    2019 Sierra Carnage

haha. just finished getting her ready for a first foray to start the season. made a few changes, mabe good ones.....gonna go see how they work. provided i don't break her too badly over the next couple of months, i plan on linking up! looking forward. moab is outside suzi's sphere of travel, i'm...

Sierra Nevada Challenge 2018 *NOW with 20% more pictures!*

top of cadillac hill, and all accounted for. mostly, i just try and follow that mitsubishi in front of me, and with some help, always make it back to pavement. the only carnage suffered seems to be to a brace on her front skid- some crappy welder didn't metalglue it right. had to ziptie it...

Sierra Nevada Challenge 2018 *NOW with 20% more pictures!*

suzi the psychic brought me home - once again- from another epic sierra carnage run. we both came back slightly wounded, but i'm sure we can both be restored. i hope someone got a picture of suzi being hand hauled up that rock just outta loon lake! embarrassing, but had to be funny looking...

Gen 3 Cooper at 3 tires

saw my name re:mudstars.... i was 2cheap to buy new bfgs, although i was quite pleased with the used set i ran for a couple of seasons. suzi is pretty light(even w/all the crap i carry), so i can get by with almost anything. i run low pressure(12-15psi) and don't do much air up/dn, even for hwy...
