    2005 Fuso FG140 - towing question

Thanks Everyone! All advice and experience is welcome as I truly haven't any idea, yet! Lol I feel confident now that 4-5,000lbs is doable, but will certainly be aware of watching the breaking and over heating. Speed will be relative I think... At 100-110kph it already almost feels too fast...

    2005 Fuso FG140 - towing question

Thanks for the confirmation folks! Right now the Fuso has only a flat deck on it so I'd be hard pressed to think we were anywhere above 10k lbs as is, so I think I'll be ok towing in the interim! Cheers, Scott Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Fuso Towing Capacity

That's funny, I literally just posted the exact same question. My bad I should have looked for existing posts. I have the GVWR and the GCWR, I'm just not sure how they relate to each other. The GVWR Is 14,050 lbs, the GCWR is 17,045lbs, which seems to indicate I would have a 2,995lbs towing...

    2005 Fuso FG140 - towing question

Hi folks I have a 2005 Fuso FG-140, and I'm still a little confused over what I'm able to tow. From an old spec sheet I was able to find my GVWR is 14,050 lb, and my GCWR looks to be 17,045 lb. I believe this means that when the truck is fully loaded with cargo, I can also tow 2,995lbs. My...

    2005 Fuso - locking hubs

Hi Folks, silly question, but for any of you that have the manual locking front hubs ... Do you Lock them by turning them backwards over the top (NA driver side clockwise, passenger side counter-clockwise)? I had a service done and the shop somehow misaligned the dials with the Lock/Free stamp...

    Help finding insurance

I insured a 2005 Fuso in Calgary last year using The Co-operators. I don't think I got a particularly good deal by any means, but it is registered, insured, and on the road at least. Mine has a flat deck on it right now and it's otherwise stock. I use it to haul my quad / SxS for awhile until I...

Help with a larger fuel tank

Hi Cameron, what did you end up going with? I am also looking at replacing the stock cylindrical tank (I think 33gal/125L) and want to go both larger (maybe ~200-250L (~53-66gal)) and retangular, as well as I would like to see about moving it from the passenger side mount to the driver's side...

    Freightliner M2 4x4?

I'm positive that you are correct... I'm just looking for the actual people that may have one and/or any personal experience actually taking a FL off-road. I'd rather talk to the drivers rather than the sellers of the trucks to try to get an honest assessment rather than potentially a sales job...

    Freightliner M2 4x4?

Has anyone built up an expo camper using a FL 4x4 chassis? I have seen a 2007 factory 4x4 M2 with the 330hp Mercedes engine (MBE900?) with 2wd/4wd selectable, 2-spd transfer case, locking rear diff. I wonder if the dual rears can be converted to larger super singles, and if so equipped with...
