1995 Discovery for sale - low miles $2900

Looks quite clean. Any shots of rear door jambs/wheel arches (for rust)? Same for the Alpine windows (any bubbling or rust there, around the gaskets?)

    This truck is unbelievable good

I kinda hear what he's saying, at least in terms of how options are all "bundled" nowadays into different "trim" levels and it is pretty hard to pick and choose only what you want your vehicle to have . . . instead, if you want one thing (like a locking diff), you often have to pay for a bunch...

    New Defender Rage/Hate Thread

In the US the car in the video was called the Jeep Liberty (the Commander was a bigger, failed attempt at creating a 3 row SUV). It was intended to be the replacement for the Cherokee, and the Dodge Nitro was a rebranded version. Were not very good cars.

And the irony, DieselRanger, of posting a coil sprung, solid axle D110 167 pages into this debate! :) Jeep "almost" made something like that, but they never brought their Jeep Afrika concept to market . . . and at the risk of adding another 20 pages to this beating a dead horse thread, one...

You can disagree and I'm absolutely fine with that. My take is that, all things considered, the 90 and the Wrangler were not terribly that different, price tag, upper crusty marketing, and old Rover V8 notwithstanding (obviously there was no competitor for the 110, but then again LR only...

    New Defender Rage/Hate Thread

Yeah, what a fallacy. Two coil-sprung, solid axle, soft top vehicles with nearly the same dimensions and capabilities were never competitors. Gotcha. I'll concede that Land Rover (and in particular LRNA) doesn't want to compete with Jeep and never has (the unwashed, huddled masses! the...

    New Defender Rage/Hate Thread

I hear ya that the old one wasn’t profitable for LR to build by hand on the ancient assembly line, and that sales were nonexistent in the final few years, but I’d question the statement that the Defender was only and would only be a niche vehicle. Jeep sold over 200 thousand Wranglers (the...

    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

Glad that you are going to give it a rest, because your responses are equally ridiculous. Why do you give two ********** what RedRover thinks? Why do you keep twisting his words, and pointing out things like (oh dear god!) spelling mistakes? C'mon, dude . . . the two of you have completely...

    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

Well, more like the romantic notion of motoring in the late 1970s than in the 1940s . . . just sayin’. And I didn’t say that I didn’t think it wasn’t off road capable - I said none of you have even driven it yet, but evraone is still arguing like crazy. If you love it, that’s cool. I’m clearly...

For me, low tech is the best tech. If that's rose tinted lenses, then I'm fine with it. This just isn't my cup of tea . . . and I AM bummed that there's not a soft top (open air driving is a great experience and the folding "LeCar" style fabric top LR has shown us isn't even close). I'd...
